House Speaker Mike Johnson revealed that a lengthy text he sent Elon Musk amid his feud with President Donald Trump earlier in 2025 was delivered "into the ether" after the tech billionaire allegedly changed his cell phone number after spatting with the president.

"I sent him a long text message, and then his phone number changed, because after the blow-up, something happened with his …" Johnson, R-La., told New York Post columnist Miranda Devine on her podcast published Wednesday before trailing off that he realized the number was no longer a direct line to Musk.

"I got the number later and realized I was sending it out into the ether somewhere and he never read it," he continued. "So I look forward to meeting with him in person. We got to make that right. I've got nothing against Elon, obviously. I've got great respect for what he's done.

Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Wednesday issued his latest threat against the U.S. and "its dog on a leash, the Zionist regime [Israel]" as nations urge nuclear negotiations but eye sanctions options.

"The fact that our nation is ready to face the power of the United States and its dog on a leash, the Zionist regime, is very praiseworthy," Khamenei said in comments translated by Reuters to state TV.

Khamenei went on to claim that last month’s attack on the U.S. Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar was just the beginning of what Tehran could throw at Washington and warned that "an even bigger blow could be inflicted on the U.S. and others.

In his first week as head of President Donald Trump’s U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Scott Kupor issued new guidance to executive agency directors cracking down on religious discrimination in the federal workforce.

The memo, obtained by Fox News Digital, encourages the use of telework, flexible schedules and leave options to meet "reasonable" religious needs while maintaining efficient agency operations.

The new guidance instructs the heads and acting heads of executive agencies and departments that they must make certain religious accommodations for workers, such as abstaining from work during specific times or participating in religious observances or practices.

A Customs and Border Protection (CBP) spokesman confirmed Tuesday that five Iranians were arrested while attempting to illegally cross the U.S. northern border with Canada.

"On July 1, Border Patrol Agents from the Champlain, New York Station, responded to suspicious activity near Mooers Forks, NY," CBP's Swanton Sector said on Facebook. "Agents located a minivan occupied by five citizens of Iran and two citizens of Uzbekistan."

The Champlain Station is part of the Swanton Sector. Swanton is a rural town in Vermont near Highway 89 just south of the Canadian Border.

Republicans took action with President Trump to make America more affordable again, passing a Working Families Tax Cut, saving families thousands a year. Plus, no tax on tips and a tax cut on Social Security, benefiting workers and seniors," says the narrator in new ads from the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC).

The ads, which will run digitally nationwide, were shared first with Fox News on Tuesday. The spots will be backed by a modest ad buy, according to officials.

The Republican-controlled House and Senate, in near-party lines, two weeks ago narrowly passed the measure, known as the "one big, beautiful bill." And the president signed the bill into law during a July 4 ceremony at the White House.

President Trump on Monday suggested that first lady Melania Trump convinced him that Russian President Vladimir Putin has continually backed out of his promises over a possible peace deal with Ukraine.

Trump was meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte when he spoke with reporters about the ongoing war.

He explained that his wife pointed out Putin's false promises following Trump's phone calls with the Russian leader amid calls for a deal to end the conflict.

President Donald Trump said the United States will be sending Patriot missiles to Ukraine while describing Russian President Vladimir Putin as a leader who "talks nice, and then he bombs everybody in the evening."

Trump made the remarks as NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte is planning to meet with the president during a visit to Washington, D.C. Monday and Tuesday. Last week, Trump revealed a new NATO deal that would allow U.S. arms to flow to Ukraine through allied nations.

"I'm going to have a meeting with the Secretary General coming in tomorrow. But we basically are going to send them various pieces of very sophisticated military. And they are going to pay us 100 percent for them. And that's the way we want it," Trump told reporters on Sunday.

The meeting will mark the first time a U.S. president has been invited to the United Kingdom for a second state visit – a move that signifies the value London is placing on the U.S.-U.K. partnership amid escalated security concerns.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will also meet with Trump in Scotland during his previously planned "private" visit to his Aberdeen shire-based golf resort later this month, reports first confirmed last week.
