A girl took her own parents to court and the internet exploded. Some call her brave, others call her a disgrace. But let’s pause and think…

Yes, no parent is perfect. And yes, children have the right to speak up. But going straight from misunderstanding to “my parents see me as property” feels like skipping the conversation and jumping to the courtroom.

Her mother stood with her head down. Her father stared, speechless. Maybe, they’re not monsters? Maybe they’re just parents who didn’t know how to say, “I love you differently now.”

And the girl? She’s not evil either. She’s hurt, confused, and maybe trying to protect herself the only way she knows: a little too loudly, a little too legally.

Let’s not turn this into “Team Parents” vs “Team Daughter.” Let’s be “Team Healing.”

How unbearably tragic is this?

A woman lay dead for six months and the world kept turning, as if she never existed. Not a single person noticed. Not one knock at her door. No message. No call. No visit.

Where were the people who once laughed with her, grew up with her, lived next to her?

How does a human being disappear from the world, and no one feels the emptiness?

Six long months. One closed door. And no one cared enough to open it.

That’s not just sad, it’s terrifying. A haunting reflection of the world we’ve built.

We’ve become so consumed by our own timelines, our ambitions, our curated lives on social media that we’ve forgotten how to check in. How to truly connect. How to be human.

We throw around the words “friendship” and “love,” but only when it benefits us only when it’s easy.

In this age, if you can’t offer something, you’re invisible. Forgotten, and sometimes, left to die alone.

This isn’t just a story of loss. It’s a warning: to care deeper, to show up, to listen.

To stop measuring people by their usefulness and start cherishing them for simply being.

Because this kind of silent ending could happen to anyone. Even to you. Even to me.

Azman’s Story

Azman Anju Khan Chowdhury was born and brought up in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He studies at Institute of Business Studies (IBA), University of Dhaka. He studied in Mastermind School from Play Group to Grade 9. He completed his O-Levels (Ordinary Levels) from St. Peter’s School of London with 10 subjects. He also completed his Edexcel A-Levels (Advanced Levels) from St. Peter’s School of London with 7 subjects.

Azman founded Durnibar Foundation in 2012, a youth-based non-profit organization, which strives to make a difference in people’s lives through the combined efforts of students and aims to make a social change across the country. (http://durnibar.org/)

Azman is also well known for his start-up Today’s Tales, a platform founded in 2016 that gives all readers and writers something to look forward every single day.
