BREAKFAST, LUNCH AND DINNER ๐
Something that has always been my fuel, is fashion. Would be lying if I told you that I have never fallen asleep with a magazine stuck to my face.
Would you believe me that on some days I change outfits 3 times? (Letโs blame the activities for it, haha)
On the daily I read about the latest fashion trends, learning about the most impactful designers, experimenting with looks and running scripts fashionated video scripts through my head even before creating them. Fashion runs through my veins, inheritad from my grandmothers, passed on to me through family and studies.
As a child I drew every dress and shoe I wished existed. I could stare at the fashion editorials in the big magazines for hours ohne end, recreating them in my mind, pulling inspiration from the themes, trying things. I loved to experiment with what I could find in my own wardrobe and borrowed the โfancy grown up looksโ from my mother.
I am a sucker for the cinematic classics and I often turn to the French and Italian icons for inspiration. Franรงoise Hardy, Brigitte Bardot, Jane Birkin, Monica Belluciโฆ to name just a few iconic, style defining women.
So even when I might be shooting an interior, an event, people, a music band, products, foodโฆ the work is always created from my undying love for fashion.
While shooting the mastersโ expo of the royal Academy of Antwerp, I felt so thankful and in awe to meet the designers and to be able to see the artistry up close. The runway show will stay with me. I can still feel the beat and feel the energy in the room of the mass excitement as every masterpiece look was presented.
Ps: when lost, find me in my wardrobe midst a dino bed camp and a large variety of my kidsโ toys
Thought I would share a bit of my vision with you. What I am currently excited about? Meryll Rogge taking the spotlight at Marni, well deserving.
