Studio trad is een studio vooral gericht op akoestische muziek, singer-songwriter, folkmuziek, ...
Er zijn 3 live-ruimtes waarvan 1 grote ruimte (17m²) en 2 compacte cabines (2 x 4m²) om tegelijk met 3 tot 4 muzikanten live in te spelen. Naast deze ruimtes ligt de de mixing ruimte (16m)², deze kijkt uit op het terras en de vijver in de tuin. Alle ruimtes zijn akoestisch volledig ingericht met abs

orptievlakken, absorptiepanelen, schuine vlakken, diffusors, baas traps,,
Boven is er nog 'n aparte ruimte (20m²) waar kan gelogeerd worden. Console:

Yesterday we had a recording day with BRISK in the new studio. They are working on a brand new song that will be released before the end of the year.

Jeroen on vocals & guitar, Wim on backing vocals and bodhrán, Naomi on violins, and Gunnar on flutes.
Happy to work om some new TRAD sounds.

Today is a special day: the very first recording session in the new studio. ❤️

After months of dust, cables, paint and only construction noise, it is really fulfilling to finally have musicians that fill these rooms with their music, energy, and life.

Hearing the space come alive like this is exactly what we’ve been working towards. And this is only the beginning…

From cold empty walls to these rooms full of warmth, sound, and possibilities...

I am excited to finally get behind the desk and hear music come alive here.

Next week we are moving the equipment of the recording studio. So today, I share with you a selection of pictures of the building process so far.

One year ago we found and bought an abandoned property in the centre of Aalst. From raw construction works to the fine details of acoustics, we had to rebuild it completely from the ground up.

Bit by bit, we turned it into a recording studio, drawing on the experience of building (and rebuilding) the previous studio.

I didn’t do this alone. Along the way I had the support, encouragement, and helping hands of friends and family: Fosca Fimiani , Koen, Ward & Hartwin Dhoore, Guy Verhofstad, Tim Orroi, Rani Baes, Maarten Decombel, Aurélien Claranbaux, Toon Van Mierlo, Gunnar Van Hove, Koen Raman, Noah Raman. I’m deeply grateful for that.

Since March 2025 we’ve been building here, and now it is time to move.
Excited to make this place come alive with music, recordings, and collaborations.

Big news!

After 13 years, our recording studio is moving to a larger location. This will allow us to welcome bigger bands even more comfortably for audio and video productions, rehearsals, and tour preparations.

But that’s not all. We’re also opening a second studio: a creative hub where you can work on pre- and post-production. The perfect place to bring your ideas to life together.

And… we’re launching our very own photo studio. From now on, in addition to on-location shoots, concert and reportage photography, you can also book us for studio shoots.

We’re currently putting the finishing touches in place, and starting from October 2025 we’ll be ready to kick things off.

THE STUDIO TRAD STORY

Studio Trad was founded in 2010 by musician Jeroen Geerinck (Snaarmaarwaar, Hot Griselda, Novar). Since then it has become renowned as the studio specialized in acoustic music. In 2015 Jeroen joined forces with fellow-musician Ward Dhoore (Snaarmaarwaar, Trio Dhoore, Estbel). Today Studio Trad works as a production company specialized in audio, video & photography.
