Walking around Ghent in early Spring 🌿🌷

One of the most beautiful places I’ve seen 🩵 It’s touristic of course, but for people like me who don’t see this kind of architecture often, it was very worth it! 😍 I am a sucker for historical places so my mouth was opened wide the whole time 🙈

Before coming to the Netherlands, I have not seen a castle before. 🙈 And Helmond Castle was my Intro 101. 🏰

Steeped in history and charm — Helmond Castle stands strong since the 14th century. It also houses a nice, small museum with very pleasing staff 🩵 it was very interesting to learn about the families who lived there. 😍

I would love to come back with more time so I can take more photos with better lens 🙈 I can understand why this city is so popular, and has a lot of tourist traps, but it’s also so charming and historic. How the city was built is very impressive for me! You deserved to be popular, Amsterdam 🩵🇳🇱

I’ve never seen so much famous artworks under one roof. If I’m being honest, I’m still not over this. I also love the little garden outside the museum. 🪴🌷

April 2 - while it was too early to see the full magnificence of this famous spring garden, better believe that thousands of WOWs left my mouth 🤯

Sure, it can be busy and maybe overrated according to a lot of travel guides, but if love being surrounded by flowers and learning their names, I recommend this. 🩵

When I was planning my trip the Netherlands, I fully expected my camera roll to be filled with flower photos and that my favorite would be a field of blooms. 🌷

I was scrolling thru my camera and found this - a quintessential Amsterdam photo, in my opinion. 🚲

I stood at this spot patiently waiting for a bicycle to pass by. Luckily, in Amsterdam, you don’t have to wait long. ❤️

I know people have a love and hate relationship with Amsterdam but honestly, I do get why it’s super busy and popular. 🥰 There’s a certain charm that I can’t quite put my finger on. Is it the old structures? The canals? The entertainment for human pleasure? I’m not entirely sure. But the trip there felt like a hazy dream. And no, I did not smoke. 😁
