I never expected being a dog mom would be so hard. Wow. Am I the only one?

Rio is our first dog since Matthias and I met each other 3,5 years ago. Sadly, I've always been scared of dogs. And yes, I was scared of my dog when he was a little pup. Stupid right?

I can't imagine my life without him now. He got me through my fears. He's my entire world. (So is Matthias thoπŸ€ͺ)

We had a difficult start with him, due to allergies. We still haven't figured out what it is. We went from vet to vet, paying over 200 every time. I worry about him all the time, when he scratches, when he pulls out the hairs from his tail, when he does not eat all of his food, when he bites his paws. Everything out of the ordinary scares me because I can see he's not okay.

And on top of that, he has to be alone for a couple of hours on some days, because we have to work our daily jobs. I hate leaving him. It breaks my heart. I guess other dog moms can relate to this.

Little does he know we're starting an online business to give him the easiest life he can possibly have. To be with him whenever he's having a hard day. Because yes, he's also a reactive dog. To be able to put more time into his training and fulfill his needs as a Golden Retriever. And most of all, to not worry about the bills at the vet, to have more financial stability so we can give him every treatment he needs.

I was scared at first to share my story and the start of our online business. You never know how people would react, what they would think. But that's okay. It doesn't matter what people think and how they respond to your story, the path you're on. It only has to make sense to you. It only has to mean something to you. My reason has 4 paws and fur, and for him, I would turn the world upside down.🀎I'm creating time and location freedom for myself and for him. So I'm already one step ahead.πŸ”₯

Eventually, you will attract others. It's already happening right now. People with the right mindset and the need to change their life too, will always find their way.

That's okay! We both like our current jobs as well. Building an online business does not mean you have to quit your job. Building a business while working a job is doable. The spare time we have after work, we put into our business. But we try to manage to keep a balance between our personal life and work.
