Yes that’s a drum kit in a room with painted walls, flooring, insulation, electrics. There’s still some work to do, but things are definitely moving in the right direction.

So it’s been a long time since the last post but that’s because of working on the sound design, build and production of European tour for . This was a project working with Eurovision 2021 Designer and the team at to put together a dual redundant timecode playback system consisting of 98 speakers / 16amps of LAcoustics). Unfortunately, the tour got cut short this year and postponed to next year but it was a great time working with all of the cast, crew and creatives on this year’s show… it really was a pleasure! Now it’s back to the studio build. More coming soon. #2022

Few hours spent on cleaning up the faders and pots. Few more to go on the buttons and other bits.

With service complete it’s onto restoration. Big thanks to DSA-AVL in Holland for getting it back into shape, now it’s time to make it look the part.

Massive thanks to Kay and Albert Vos for the Donation of this vintage D&R Vision Broadcast Media Analog Desk. Not only did they donate the desk but there are some custom DI boxes with authentic D&R circuitry AND the original paperwork from the 80’s! The desk is now back from service and has now been restored to full functionality! Pictures soon &r

Finally collecting the last bits from storage in the UK. These 12”s have been sat here for a few years already and the thought of their condition has been quite worrying… but it’s all good, the sleeves haven’t peeled and the records haven’t warped, lutte bit of dusting and they will be ready to spin!

Its been good fun working on this project with Sébastien. We’ve worked through a number of revisions to get a result we are both happy with in terms of arrangement, balance, tone and space.

Needs a bit of a clean up but this is the console that’s going in the studio. It’s going on for service today and should be ready for collection next month. Massive thanks to Kay Vos and Vaassen (Vaassen) for this donation!

Special delivery! Today we received our dual material, high density composite under flooring for the studio. This weighty 5mm layer is going to go nicely with the 12mm laminate we’ve already got to reduce airborne and impact sounds... redefining the level of our noise floor.
