Why is it always little Black girls that people try to put in a box?
To make them feel small, unwanted, like an outcast. What happened in year 7 is happening all over again just one month into college, same story, new setting.
And the hardest part? It’s a catch-22. She absolutely loves her course. But the blatant racism she faces every day in a school that’s predominantly not us is sickening.
I’ve always said my IG is my safe haven, and transparency is key. I never want to only show the pretty parts of life while the painful parts stay hidden. Some things need light shed on them—and this is one of them.
Bullying is never right. Racism is never right. And this time, I refuse to let it slide.
