Making a ritual during a Blood Moon is a very powerful way to use its strong energy for transformation and cleansing. Here's a simple and effective way to create your own ritual:
Step 1: Preparation (Setting the Intention)
Prepare a quiet and clean space. This can be outside if you can see the moon, or inside near a window.
Light: Light a candle, preferably white or black. White symbolizes cleansing, while black symbolizes getting rid of negative energy.
Aroma: Use incense or sage to cleanse the space. Imagine that as the smoke rises, it removes all negative energy from the area.
Materials: Prepare a piece of paper, a pen, and a fireproof container (like a bowl or ashtray) if you plan to burn the paper.
Step 2: The Releasing Ritual
This is the most important part of the ritual. It focuses on letting go of things that no longer serve your growth.
Write the List: On a piece of paper, write down everything you want to let go of. Be honest with yourself. This can include fears, doubts, bad habits, or past hurts.
Read Aloud: While facing the moon, read your list out loud. Feel each word and its weight.
Burn the Paper: Carefully light the paper with the candle's flame and place it in the fireproof container. As it burns, imagine all the negative things you wrote turning into ash and completely disappearing from your life. If you can't burn it, you can also tear it into small pieces and throw it in the trash outside your home.
Give Thanks: After it has burned, give thanks to the universe or the moon for helping you let go.
Step 3: The Receiving Ritual
Now that you've released old burdens, it's time to plant new intentions.
Write Your Desires: Take a new piece of paper. Write down everything you want to happen in your life. Write it in the present tense (for example, "I am happy," or "I am attracting abundance").
Visualize: Visualize yourself enjoying the things you've written down. Feel the joy, peace, and success.
Keep the Paper: Fold the paper and store it in a safe place. You can put it in your journal, wallet, or under your pillow. This is your blueprint for the coming days.
This ritual is not just about stating what you want, but a serious step in accepting the transformation that the Blood Moon brings.
