Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) handled nearly 2.32 million passengers in May 2025, about 90,000 more than in April but 51,000 fewer than in May 2024, according to preliminary data. The busiest day was Sunday, May 4, with 86,760 travellers. During the DFB Cup final weekend (May 23–25), around 237,000 passengers passed through the airport. BER recorded 17,513 aircraft movements and processed over 4,336 tonnes of freight during the month.

Brussels Airlines plans to resume flights to Tel Aviv in July, following the Lufthansa Group’s phased return to the Israeli city starting June 23. All Lufthansa Group airlines, including Brussels Airlines, had suspended service in early May after a Houthi rebel rocket attack on Tel Aviv’s airport. While other group carriers will begin flying in late June, Brussels Airlines will rejoin the route later. Passengers with affected bookings can rebook or request refunds, according to the Lufthansa Group.
