GIRLS VISIT DAD'S GRAVE TO "SHOW" THEIR NEW DRESSES — SEE 2 BOXES WITH THEIR NAMES ON THEM
"On my birthday, I want my little girls to look their prettiest," Brian had said, his voice soft but hopeful. "I'm so curious to see what you’ll wear. Do you promise to come to Daddy and show me your beautiful outfits, girls? Even if Daddy can't be with you that day, you have to promise me you'll look your best." Those words were his last wish—a simple request for his daughters to visit him on his birthday.
When Brian's birthday came, the girls put on their new outfits, each one carefully chosen to honor his wish. They held hands, their little steps slow and purposeful as they walked toward his grave, with their mother, Linda, following close behind.

A few days before my wedding, I left my usual ashy blonde dye in the bathroom, ready for a quick touch-up. And when my future MIL, Linda, "dropped by" to check on wedding plans and used the bathroom, I didn't think much of it.
Fast forward to my salon appointment, and mid-way through the dye application, my stylist suddenly freezes. "Uh... this isn't blonde. It's neon green." I looked at the bottle and nearly fainted—it was bright green dye. My hair was transforming into a glowing nightmare.
I rushed home, heart pounding, only to find the color even worse in every light. Only Linda had been in the bathroom since I bought that dye. This was no accident. My fiancé Ryan walked in, saw my hair, and just said, "It's definitely Mom. Leave it to me; she'll regret this." ⬇️

LITTLE GIRL FROM ACROSS THE STREET WAVED AT ME EVERY DAY AND NIGHT – ONE DAY, I WENT TO INSPECT HER HOUSE
"Sandy, remember I told you about the strange little girl yesterday? Look, she's at that window!" I pointed across the street.
"I remember. Is she looking at you again?" asked my wife.
"Yeah, it's kind of weird."
"Well, maybe she's bored and just waving her arms?"
"It's like she's calling me."
"I can imagine. You'll go up to her and say she called you. What would her parents think?" Sandy replied.
"Yeah, I guess I'm just making up nonsense." I quickly pulled the curtain shut, unease settling in my stomach.
That night, I had terrible dreams of the girl's house and shadows whispering, and I woke up in a cold sweat. Morning came, and I felt exhausted. As I finished my tea, I glanced at the window again.
The girl was waving, her little hand beckoning me.
"That's it! I'm done with this. I'm going to talk to her parents," I told Sandy. "She's starting to scare me. Last night, she waved the same way. What does she want from me?"
Determined, I planned how to find her apartment. I rang the doorbell, and when the door swung open, I almost fell. ⬇️

Thanksgiving used to be my favorite holiday. It was all about family for me. Year after year, we’d gather around, cook a turkey, and laugh until our stomachs hurt. I remember those moments like they were yesterday... But three years ago, my mom left us. No explanation, no goodbyes—she just closed the door and was gone. Since then, nothing has been the same, and I haven’t seen her since. We learned to live as three: my dad, my sister, and me. Dad did everything he could, but the holiday spirit never really returned.
This year, she invited us to spend Thanksgiving together for the first time since she left. Honestly, it felt like a knife to the heart. To sit there and watch her so happy without us? I once saw a very unusual scene in my grocery store. A boy of about 8 years entered and, with the confidence of an adult, began to pick up groceries. Then he walked up to the cashier and handed her a piggy bank, saying, "There are 42 dollars and 50 cents in here. You can count it if you like. Will this be enough?"
While the cashier counted the coins, I decided to talk to the boy.
Me: That is a lot of fruit. Who are those for?

A GUY FROM A DATING SITE BROUGHT HIS PARENTS ON OUR FIRST DATE, AND HIS MOM CAME WITH RIDICULOUS DEMANDS – SO I DECIDED TO OUTPLAY THEM.
I'd been chatting with Jacob for months, so when our long-awaited first date finally came, I was excited. I walked into the restaurant, eager to meet him, but was stopped in my tracks. Not only was Jacob there, but he was sitting with… an older couple.
Jacob: "Hey, Lia! So glad to finally meet in person. Oh, and these are my parents, Linda and Patrick!"
Me: "Um, what's going…"
Linda: "Sit down, girl! While we're having dinner, I'll need you to fill out this questionnaire."
I was stunned. She handed me a blank sheet of paper with a list of questions that only got worse the further I read:
1. How much do you earn?
2. What illnesses do you have?
3. How many partners have you had?
4....
I wanted to just walk out, but then I had a better idea. There was no way I'd let them get away with this. So, I excused myself and dashed to a nearby shop. When I returned and handed them my present, their eyes went wide: "HOW DARE YOU?!" ⬇️
