Good observation right there from Shatta Wale - to even think that entertainment is not part of ‘education and development’ is a big problem for a minister to try to downplay the effect and impact of entertainment in providing economic development and growth to a country.

Through entertainment AMERICA is the most powerhouse in the world and raking in billions of dollars to develop the country with their entertainment sector

We downplay the importance of entertainment in our economy far too much hence we are unable to harness the benefits that comes with it because we don’t pay particular attention to the sector and develop it well to our advantage.

Our leaders mindset is fixated on going to school to become lawyer, doctor, engineer etc ONLY as the solely responsible to drive our economy forgetting that with entertainment there’s a huge opportunities to create jobs and provide value for people to make a living out of it.

We must understand and learn how to put premium and value on the entertainment industry and stop this kind of unnecessary marginalisation of the sector.
