Since its start, some 25 years ago, Belgium’s Eskimo Recordings has always championed the spacier end of club music and, via key releases from the likes of Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas, played a pivotal role in the 00s disco revival. Two of the label’s compilations in particular, Cosmic Balearic Beats Vol. 1 & 2, helped define that era’s sound and 17 years later Eskimo returns to the series with the long awaited Volume 3, featuring 18 otherworldly tracks selected by Izhevsk-based producer Antenna.

∞ - 25 Years Of Eskimo Recordings was curated by longtime label affiliate NTEIBINT, who's selected highlights from the Ghent label's illustrious catalogue. Tracks from Massimiliano Pagliara, Ray Mang, Lindstrom & Prins Thomas, Aeroplane and Kraak & Smaak all feature, while there are remixes and edits from the likes of Morgan Geist, Curses, Optimo (Espacio) and Etienne de Crécy.

The release traces both his personal connection to the label and its broader evolution, spanning more than two decades of forward-thinking electronic music. The eclectic identity of Eskimo Recordings was forged in Ghent’s (Belgium) legendary Eskimo Fabriek warehouse rave parties. DJs such as The Flying Dewaele Brothers (aka Soulwax aka 2manydjs) and The Glimmers blended disco, synth-pop, new wave, acid house and rock into a new club language that helped shape Belgium’s indie dance scene.

For over a decade now Travis Holcombe has been one of Eskimo Recordings biggest supporters, his weekly Freaks Only show on LA's KCRW often the first place that audiences around the world have got to hear the label's latest releases. As part of Eskimo's ongoing 25th birthday celebrations Travis has dug through the last twelve years of the label's eclectic output to curate a selection of 25 of his favourite tracks ranging from Aili & Orson's neon lit electro-pop through to the cosmic sounds of Hermigervillvill and the sun kissed disco of NTEIBINT. ❤️🖤

“I Love Your Energy!” is not only the name of Austin Ato’s label, but also a perfect description of this remix for French disco queen Corine and UK house outfit Daddy Squad. Following Austin’s more tribal rework of Groove Armada’s I See You Baby, he now revisits the sound of the blog house era. Because yes, the heydays of electroclash are making a return! Expect a modern take on the style of Crookers, Switch, Hervé and more.
