I recorded this mix mostly for the people with the limited thinking and live by the rulez..
In music - there is no limits...what if it doesent right to you?...eh well,deal with it!
Yeah , the music nowdays is full of frequencies(i respect that),but that doesent make it "the right way" for music.
In matter of fact, most of the new school s**t sounds the same.The SNAREs makes me think that the sink is broken and something is dripping,
it sounds with good quality but it has a lack of ideas(not all of it ofcourse),but it becomes very rare to find a tune that i will remember for years and years(i got sum good ol' choons wich i will alsways be happy to hear and play),and those new depressing melodies...man that gotta sucks if a producer feels really that way xD
Music = Rithym,melodi and harmony...
I will not skip the part where i have to say that most of the new scene music is difficult to MIX...i mean really!Aside from the part that you have 4 minutes,
you got an intro(around 40 seconds),1st drop is around 2 min tops,a breakdown(40sec to 1.20min) and a lazy second drop where you gotta play the intro
of the next lazy rushly made track.. seriously?! I found that super incompetent and stupid...dont rush your self ! If you go it in you - you will get there...you
dont have to release unfinished music so fast.
Very often when i listen to the mixing of the new DJ's - there is no mixing ...its just switching tracks(wtf?)...My favourite part in the drum and bass music is
when i find 2 tunes that are absolutely perfect MIXED with eachother...and the new music - you dont have to do anything..the tracks are good right the way they are played(sound is the same)...i wonder why everybody are touching SUPER SLIGHTLY the EQ constantly...that is super fun to watch...
Come on dude ...it will not burn you hahahha ...also i wonder why
most of them(Djs) go so prepared with their mix,and aside of that they got time do dance or touch the k***s of the mixer painfully, retards got cue points and they know exactly when to play the next one ,even some use the drop for a starting point ,and very few dare to experiment with music... not mentioning that mostly nobody here is trying to mix some proper old school...if i hear some oldies - it's mostly the mainstream badass bangers that everybody know...
So ..with this mix i wanted to pay respect to the producers who experimented with music and get us where we are now..
I doubt that everybody will like this mix but i really don't care even if nobody hear it :D
Again - that is a Tribute to the elders!
and to the producers in the mainstream world - please think outside the box or at least try for once... u will feel great i promise!
