ABANDONED DOGS IN MY VILLAGE — PART 2
Nikita, the newcomer.
Today’s episode is about this beautiful girl who suddenly appeared in our village after being spayed.
Instead of being returned to the place where she originally came from, she was left here. The local council team confirmed this happens often when other areas become overcrowded with stray dogs — animals are simply relocated somewhere else.
The problem is that dogs know their territories.
Nikita does not know this village, the people, the dogs or where to safely find food and water. She is nervous, unsure and keeps her distance from everyone.
I can only imagine how confusing this must be for her.
For now I’m feeding her every day and trying to gain her trust slowly, just like I did with Molly and Betty. I’m also thinking about organising some blankets or a small shelter for her, although I still don’t know if this will become her permanent spot.
People often think that once a street dog is spayed, the story has a happy ending.
But many of them are still alone, scared and surviving day by day.
Welcome to the village, Nikita. 💔🐾
