The Embassy of Malaysia in Manama recently hosted a vibrant cultural event titled “Breakfast Culture in Malaysia: Dining Experience in a Multi-Ethnic Society,” celebrating the nation's rich culinary tradition that has now achieved global recognition. The event was held shortly after the landmark inscription of Malaysia's traditional breakfast practices onto the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The Manama event, held at The Gulf Hotel, Manama, aimed to share this newly recognized cultural experience with guests in Bahrain. His Excellency Dato Shazryll Zahiran, Malaysian Ambassador to Bahrain, introduced the three iconic UNESCO-recognized breakfast dishes—nasi lemak, roti canai, and teh tarik—as part of an experience designed to offer a "glimpse of what you can experience if you were to travel to Malaysia."

The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) announced that it will operate a tour on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 3 P.M. to celebrate World Tourism Day, observed this year under the theme "Tourism and Sustainable Transformation".

The tour is organised in cooperation with the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), and the Executive Office of the National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Values of Citizenship (Bahrainouna).

The tour will start at the Bahrain National Museum and include visits to some of the Kingdom’s most prominent historical and cultural landmarks, including Bab Al Bahrain and the Kanoo Museum, offering participants the opportunity to explore the heritage of Manama. It will also feature a stop at the Al Jasra Handicrafts Centre to discover the creativity of Bahraini artisans.

The initiative represents the first joint tourism activity designed to promote sustainable tourism by using modern public transport buses as the main means of travel. This step highlights the role of Bahrain’s public transportation network as a practical option to reduce carbon emissions and enhance environmental awareness, while offering visitors an authentic cultural experience that combines heritage and sustainability.

A group of Bahraini tourist guides will accompany participants to provide in-depth information on the Kingdom’s historical and cultural sites.

Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), ‘The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East’, kicks off its 2025/2026 season later this month, with plenty on offer from world-class international championships to adrenaline-pumping fan experiences. Details of the new campaign were announced in a Press conference launch held Thursday evening at BIC’s Paddock 6.

In attendance at the event were Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa, BIC Chief Executive; Mark Thomas, Bapco Energies Group Chief Executive Officer; Sherif Al Mahdy, BIC Chief Commercial Officer; and senior management from both organisations.

Shaikh Salman announced that BIC is coming off a record-breaking campaign in 2024/2025, when the circuit hosted 424 events both on and off the track. Shaikh Salman explained that those included 48 racing events, headlined by international weekends in Formula 1 and the World Endurance Championship (WEC), as well as regional and national series such as drag racing and karting, along with track days and corporate events – making for a packed calendar of motorsport across the year.
