As part of the "Celebrate Bahrain" festivities, Beyon Al Dana Amphitheatre’s December calendar continues its spectacular run, featuring a vibrant mix of international music icons and regional theatre legends.

Following a roaring start to the month with the debut performances of Metallica, Stephen Wilson Jr., and Saint Levant, the Amphitheatre now looks ahead to a series of highly anticipated acts.
Global sensation Tyla will make her Bahrain debut on the 9th and 14th of December at The Desert Garden (the first show is already sold out). The Grammy-nominated artist, known for her breakout hit "Water," fuses amapiano, R&B, and pop, earning global recognition for her unique sound.

On December 11th, global chart-topper Pitbull returns to Bahrain, delivering his signature high-octane performance. The multi-platinum artist, known for smash hits like "Give Me Everything," remains one of the most electrifying names in international pop.

Sharing the evening with Pitbull and continuing on December 12th and 13th is the brand-new theatrical experience, "King of Theatre," which blends heritage storytelling with dynamic stagecraft.

On the occasion of the first anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s inauguration of the Bapco Modernisation Project, which was organised by Bapco Energies Group on December 18, 2024, and within the framework of following-up on the progress of refinery’s modern units, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bapco Energies, paid an extensive inspection visit to the refinery site to closely examine the efficiency of operational processes and follow up on the performance of the new units.

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad’s visit aimed to assess the refinery’s work and ensure the efficiency of production operations. His Highness was briefed on the significant operational efficiency of the refinery’s operations following its modernisation. Production levels have risen from 265,000 barrels per day to 380,000.

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad announced a new increase in production capacity to 405,000 barrels per day, representing a 42% increase compared to the previous capacity. This increases the Kingdom’s export capacity by up to 40% of high-value oil products, exceeding the operational targets set at the beginning of the modernisation project.

McLaren's Lando Norris won his first Formula 1 world championship after finishing third in the season-ending Abu Dhabi GP at the Yas Marina Circuit . Embroiled in a three-way race on the final day, alongside teammate Oscar Piastri and four-time world champions Max Verstappen, the 26-year-old came into Abu Dhabi with a 12-point lead in Drivers' Championship standings. Despite winning his third race on the bounce, Verstappen had to settle for the second spot in championship standings. Piastri, on the other hand, finished third behind Norris and Verstappen. Norris won McLaren's first Drivers' Championship since Lewis Hamilton in 2008

Manama was named the World’s Leading Business Travel Destination at the prestigious World Travel Awards Grand Final 2025, held at Exhibition World Bahrain, attended by 300 figures from the tourism sector from inside and outside the Kingdom of Bahrain, making it one of the most diverse editions in the history of the awards. A total of 120 winners were honoured, including 110 international and 10 from Bahrain.

Exhibition World Bahrain won four awards at the ceremony, confirming its success in consolidating its role in attracting major international events, in line with the 2022–2026 Tourism Strategy. It received Bahrain’s Best Convention Centre, the Middle East’s Best MICE Event Venue, as well as global recognition as the World’s Leading Large-Scale Wedding Venue and World’s Leading MICE Event Venue. The national carrier, Gulf Air, was also awarded for Outstanding Contribution to the Airline Industry, in recognition of its vital role in enhancing the Kingdom’s air connectivity.

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister delegated His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs to attend the closing ceremony of the IRONMAN 70.3 Middle East Championship Bahrain 2025, which was a special edition that highlighted the Kingdom’s advanced position on the global sports map.

The closing ceremony was attended by a number of senior officials.

His Highness said that the large turnout of professional and amateur competitors from around the world confirms the growing international confidence in the Kingdom’s organisational capabilities and reflects the scale of investment in sport as an influential sector in comprehensive development.

His Highness noted that the success of this edition adds to the Kingdom of Bahrain’s track record of hosting major sporting events, reinforcing its position as a leading platform for innovation and sporting excellence in the region and the world.

He also expressed pride in the victory of Team Bahrain Victorious in the men’s and women’s professional categories, emphasising that this achievement reflects the advanced level the team has reached in major competitions and embodies their ability to compete and achieve honourable results in the biggest international tournaments. His Highness noted that this excellence adds to the series of successes achieved by the team at various levels.

The set features designs that reflect the common path of the Gulf states and illustrate the links and cooperation among the peoples of the Council. The designs also reflect future aspirations for a unified and promising Gulf renaissance in this vital region of the world.

Her Excellency Giorgia Meloni, President of the Council of Ministers of the Italian Republic, visited the Cathedral of Our Lady of Arabia in Awali. HE Giorgia Meloni was accompanied by Her Excellency Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development, in an event organised by the King Hamad Global Center for Coexistence and Tolerance, in the presence of His Excellency Bishop Aldo Berardi, Apostolic Vicar of Northern Arabia, Muneera Nofal Al Doseri, Executive Director of the Center, and a number of religious and official figures.

During the visit, HE the Italian President of the Council of Ministers expressed appreciation for the pioneering experience of the Kingdom of Bahrain, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, in respecting freedom of religion and belief, upholding the values of tolerance and coexistence, and promoting a culture of peace and dialogue among civilizations, cultures, and religions.

The leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) have concluded the 46th session of the GCC Supreme Council, held at Sakhir Palace under the presidency of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, The Crown Prince and Prime Minister, was also present.

The GCC leaders and their representatives expressed their appreciation to HM the King for the warm hospitality and welcome. They praised His Majesty in leading the summit sessions and key role in consolidating Gulf cooperation.
