Stop calling them “girl push ups.” They’re **modified push ups**.

Push ups aren’t about whether you’re a man or woman. They’re about performing the exercise effectively.

I’ve trained plenty of men who needed to drop to their knees because staying on their toes meant sacrificing range of motion, tempo, and proper form.

Using modified push ups isn’t cheating. It’s a regression that can help you perform better-quality reps while developing the strength and control you need to progress.

If you have to shorten your range of motion, lose control, or completely change your technique just to stay on your toes, regress the exercise and make every rep count.

**Better reps. Better range of motion. Better ex*****on.**

How to Do Push Ups: Stop Doing Half Reps

If you're cutting your push ups short, you could be missing one of the most important parts of the movement—the deeper, lengthened position of your chest at the bottom.

Instead of chasing more reps, focus on better reps.

Control the lowering phase and allow your chest to move through a fuller range of motion before driving yourself back up.

Try this first: lift your chest, drop your shoulders, pull your elbows back, and feel the stretch across your chest. That's the position you want to recreate near the bottom of your push ups.

Are your push ups actually working your chest?

One of the most common push up mistakes I see is letting the hips drop. When your hips sink, you can take tension away from your chest and place unnecessary stress on your lower back.

Instead, brace your core and keep your chest and hips up as one unit. Lower your chest toward the floor under control, feel the stretch through your chest, then drive yourself back up.

Whether you’re doing a push up workout or a chest workout at home, don’t focus only on completing more reps.

Focus on making every rep better.

Want to place more emphasis on the **short head of your biceps** during dumbbell curls? 💪

Instead of simply curling the dumbbell straight up, actively **supinate your forearm as you curl**—think about bringing your pinky up toward your shoulder.

You’re still training your biceps without this adjustment, but adding active supination can help place more emphasis on the short head.

Small changes in ex*****on can make a big difference in how you perform an exercise.

Creatine can help—but it can’t make up for poor training.

Creatine monohydrate has strong evidence supporting strength, muscle growth, and performance. But before questioning your creatine type, creatine loading, protein intake, or searching for another supplement, look at how you’re actually training.

If your only measure of training hard is how much weight you can lift, you could be sacrificing form and ex*****on just to move more weight.

Creatine should support your training—not compensate for it.

Creatine can support muscle, strength, performance, and healthy aging—but before focusing on creatine, I believe you should make sure your vitamin D3 is in order.

This becomes especially important for women approaching perimenopause and menopause, when maintaining muscle and bone health becomes an even bigger priority.

Creatine can also be useful for helping maintain muscle while you’re in a calorie deficit trying to lose body fat. But supplements shouldn’t distract us from getting the fundamentals right.

Creatine can be beneficial—but don’t overlook the basics while chasing supplements.

Are you training your BICEPS—or just moving the weight from point A to point B? 💪

If your dumbbell curls are so heavy that you have to swing the weight, your biceps may not be working properly through their lengthened and shortened range.

Going heavier isn’t always better.

Control the weight. Focus on the muscle. Make your BICEPS do the work.

Dumbbell curls work better when you fix these 3 common mistakes. 💪

Poor posture, swinging the dumbbells, and failing to get a good stretch can all take tension away from your biceps.

Also pay attention to supination as you curl—turning your palm upward can help you get more out of the movement and better emphasize the biceps.

Before adding more weight, improve your ex*****on.

Creatine can help—but does that automatically mean you need to supplement with it?

Creatine monohydrate can support muscle mass, strength, performance, and energy production, making it one of the most talked-about supplements in fitness.

But something having proven benefits doesn’t necessarily mean everyone needs to supplement with it.

Before adding creatine to your routine, ask yourself: **Do I actually need it—and what should I be focusing on first?**

**Dumbbell curls: lift better, not just heavier. 💪**

I’m curling 35 lbs here, but the goal isn’t to simply move more weight from A to B.

Better ex*****on, control, and tension can make a lighter weight far more effective for building your biceps than using heavier weight with poor form.
