This project involves the renovation of an existing structure. The building’s aged and uncertain conditions became the starting point for reimagining the office space. Working within the constraints of the original building’s scale and volume, the design team focused on creating a more pleasant and inspiring work environment tailored to the needs of designers. The core vision was to design a simple, comfortable, compact yet elegant space, and as connected to nature as possible—despite the lack of natural resources in the immediate surroundings.

The school serves as a model for innovative educational spaces, emphasizing the integration of First Nations culture and sustainability. Designed in collaboration with educational consultants, New Learning Environments, the school features adaptable learning hubs that foster collaboration and inclusivity. These spaces support active, quiet, and outdoor learning, creating a safe and inviting atmosphere that maximizes natural light and ventilation. The design incorporates perforated screens that reflect the local casuarina trees, further connecting the school to its natural surroundings.

Ndarja: A Mixed-Use Urban Oasis in the Centre of Tirana by OODA

Located on Myslym Street in a central district of Tirana, where old and new converge, the Ndarja building—designed for residential, hospitality, offices, and commercial use—adapts to the ongoing transformation of the urban morphology landscape. Surrounded by lush vegetation and illuminated by a reflective water surface, this space softens the structure’s solidity, allowing the architecture to breathe.

The Blue Insight Cave Space by 3andwich Design / He Wei Studio

The design inspiration comes from the reefs and sea caves around the site. The building has an irregular shape, and the non-right-angled shape reminds people of the reefs around the site. The building adopts a soil-covering form, which minimizes the occupation of land to the greatest extent possible. The main body of the building is hidden underground, which not only respects environmental factors but also maintains a relatively stable indoor temperature, reducing the energy consumption of cooling in summer.
