Evenings like this make me stop, pause the conversation, and snap a photo to soak it all in. Truly blessed.

Abaco has lost a true Abaconian whose life of service could be both seen and felt—lifting our community in countless ways.

She will be profoundly missed, and her loss will echo across our islands. RIP Wynsome 🙏🏼

It is with great sadness that I learned of the sudden passing of Wynsome Ferguson.

Wynsome was a proud daughter of Abaco and an integral part of the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism for many years. She played a pivotal role on my Tourism Team here in Abaco and was a beloved presence in our community.

Her passion for Abaco was evident in everything she did — from her leadership roles in local organizations such as Regattas in The Abacos and the Pink Rose Ball Committee, to her tireless efforts to promote and uplift our islands.

Wynsome had Abaco in her heart and gave so much of herself in service to its people. She will be tremendously missed, but her impact and legacy will live on in the many lives she touched.

On behalf of the people of Central and South Abaco, I extend my deepest sympathies to her family and loved ones.
