5 things I learned about drive:

1. The destination matters, but the direction matters more. Most people are stuck because they’re not moving at all.

2. You don’t need to see the whole road. You just need enough vision to reach the next turn.

3. Successful people spends more time driving than arriving. The journey is where the growth happens.

4. Traffic is part of the trip. Delays, setbacks, and detours don’t mean you’re lost, they mean you’re moving.

5. The people who get where they want to go aren’t always the fastest. They’re the ones who refuse to pull over and quit.

Drive isn’t about speed. It’s about having somewhere you’re going and making the decision to keep moving toward it every day. Some days the road is clear. Some days it’s not. Either way, keep driving.

I had the privilege of sharing a word with entitled The power of a conversation. Some breakthroughs begin with one honest conversation.

God created us for conversation. Through Jesus, the veil was torn so we could speak directly with our Father. Now, we must be intentional about the conversations that shape our lives.

This week, don’t avoid the conversation. Pray. Reach out. Apologize. Forgive. Make it right.

Because healing may be waiting on the other side of the conversation.

In The Bahamas we call the dating stage “talking” but are we really having the necessary conversations?

65% of marriages that end of divorce do so because of "communication issues"

In my sermon "The Power of A Conversation" I talk about the spiritual and practical benefits of a conversation not just with each other but with the Lord as well.

1. Saying no gets easier after the first timeEvery boundary you keep teaches you that protecting your peace is okay.

2. Access to you is not automaticYour time and energy are valuable. Not everyone is entitled to unlimited access to you.

3. Clarity is kinder than avoidanceHonest communication may feel uncomfortable, but confusion usually hurts more.

4. Boundaries protect relationships tooHealthy boundaries don’t push people away — they help relationships stay respectful and sustainable.

Like a Netflix episode sometimes we wish we could just fast forward through tough times. But we can be encouraged that trusting that God is in control gives us a hope. Check out the sermon in full on YouTube. (link in comment section)

The election season has come to a close, and we find ourselves at a unique milestone in Bahamian history. With the results confirmed, we are witnessing a significant moment in our democratic journey one that our nation hasn't seen in decades.

At times like these, it is important to look beyond the ballot box and remember the foundation of leadership.

We recognize that the Lord establishes governments and guides the direction of nations. Regardless of which way we voted, our primary responsibility now shifts toward the collective well-being of our country.

I encourage every Bahamian to commit our leaders and our nation to prayer. Let us ask for wisdom, integrity, and strength for those tasked with steering our islands forward.

When we pray for our leadership, we are ultimately praying for the peace and prosperity of every citizen.

Our strength is not found in our political colors, but in our shared commitment to this land. Now is the time to set aside our differences, unite our efforts, and truly March on Bahamaland toward a better future for all. 🇧🇸🙏🏾

Sometimes in life you are just going to make some people real mad! 😡

And guess what you are going to have to be ok with that.

I'm not talking about being rude or malicious or provoking. I'm talking about just being you!

At the end of the day, don't let the opinions and what people think is best for you put you in a prison of people pleasing. You have to follow God's leading and do what's best for you. You will be the one having to live with the results. Unfortunately, these decisions will cost you sometimes but your peace is too expensive for any person, entity or friend group who doesn't want the best for you!
