July 28, 2025 — The 4th Day of the 6th Month in the Bhutanese Calendar: This marks the auspicious occasion commemorating the day Lord Buddha gave his first teachings. To honor this, monks of Karma Thegsum Dechenling Monastery in Bhutan observed the day with a Mending and Purifying ceremony of the three vows (Dhomsum Sojong) early in the morning.

Following that, the monks and lay people respectfully invited the Shakyamuni Buddha and Sixteen Arhats, to whom they made offerings and performed a cleansing ritual.

In the afternoon, a feast offering to the Dharma Protectors was conducted. In the evening, the sangha, along with the devotees, recited Calling the Guru from Afar and offered butter lamp prayers.

On Monday, the 28th of July 2025(4th day of 6th Bhutanese month), which is the auspicious day of Lord Buddha, on which he gave his first teaching to his first five disciples, the monks of Karma Thegsum Dechenling Monastery, Barshong, Khaling, will be performing the great Sixteen Arhats Puja followed by Marme Moenlam, Bathing of Buddha, etc. Hence, we would love to welcome all devotees to offer prayers for well-being and receive blessings.

18 July 2025: Coinciding with the auspicious birth anniversary of H.E. Zuri Rinpoche, the monks of KTDM began the day with the Three Precepts Purification Ceremony. This was followed by heartfelt aspirations for Rinpoche’s long life and the flourishing of the Dharma through the recitation of the Sadhana of the Sixteen Arhats.

After lunch, led by Trulku Jigme, the monks made a charitable contribution of jackets to the students of Draktsho Vocational Training Center for Special Children and Youth in Kanglung, Eastern Bhutan.
During dinner, Rinpoche served special meals to elderly residents staying at the Monastery.

In the evening, Rinpoche graciously accepted birthday wishes and the traditional body, speech, and mind offerings from his international students during a special Zoom gathering. The day concluded with the Vajrakilaya Sadhana, followed by butter lamp prayers(Marme Monlam) and the recitation of Calling the Lama from Afar.

**2025年7月18日**：為慶祝尊貴的殊利仁波切吉祥壽辰，三乘大樂林的僧眾早上以Three Precepts Purification 儀式開啟慶典。隨後修持《十六羅漢》儀軋，至誠祈願仁波切法體安康、聖教廣弘。

午飯後，在尊貴的Trulku Jigme指導下，僧眾向東不丹Kanglung 地區的 Draktsho 特殊兒童與青少年職業培訓中心的學子們捐贈外套。

傍晚時分，仁波切為居住於三乘大樂林的長者們布施晚餐，並通過Zoom會議接受全球弟子的誕辰祝福及身語意供養，隨後大家一起修持普巴金剛儀軌。終日法宴以點燈祈願（marme monlam）及遙呼上師祈請文圓滿作結。

The monks of Karma Thegsum Dechenling Monastery in Bhutan are performing a hundred Thousand Vajrakilaya feast Offering Ceremony, which will last for three days from 15th to 17th of July, in order to offer our best wishes to the Rinpoche, on the auspicious occasion of his upcoming birthday.

不丹噶瑪三乘大樂洲的僧眾敬啟: 因我們無比恩德的上師殊利仁波切誕辰臨近，為了為怙主舉辦法事，從七月十五日至十七日，進行為期三日的大威德金剛童子十萬供養法會。

The flourishing of Lord Buddha’s teachings depends on the Sangha members and the Sanghamembers are meant to practice three principles of Vinaya practices of which summer retreat is one of them. It says: “Monks must practice summer retreat for three months”.
The earlier summer retreat starts from the 16thday of the 5th month, while the later summer retreat starts from the 16th day of the 6th monthas per the Vinaya text.
In another text it says the earlier summer retreat is the main. In addition, the great scholar Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche also mentioned that the earlier summer retreat for three months is more beneficial for studying and meditation etc which is also appropriate according to Buddha’s vow.
Therefore, monks of Karma Thegsum Dechenling Monastery has started the earlier summer retreat from today the 16th day of the 5th month.

總的來說，佛陀教法是否興盛，取決於是否有僧團，而僧團又取決於是否實踐了《正法毗奈耶》中所說的三事儀軌。如云："應當受許夏安居，應當住滿三個月，於夏季五月十六開始實行。"《根本說一切有部毗奈耶頌·花鬘》中也說："前夏安居為主要。"如此，蔣貢羅卓泰耶也曾開示："若能受許前夏安居，圓滿住滿三個月，則隨順了佛陀之制，且能增長聞思等，有極大利益。"根據這些教導，在不丹噶瑪三乘大樂林中，也將在夏季五月十五的上午，先行“十五布薩”，之後進行分發籌碼、賜予臥具等加行後，在十六這一天，由六十多位比丘和沙彌受许前夏安居後，開啟第四次夏安居。

On July 3, 2025, the 8th day of the 5th Bhutanese month, coinciding with the auspicious day of Medicine Buddha, the shedra and gompa monastics, as well as astrology students, commenced their mid-year examinations at Karma Thegsum Dechenling Monastery.

2025年7月3日，不丹曆五月初八，適逢藥師佛吉祥日。不丹三乘大樂林的佛學院、寺院，以及學習傳統天文的學生們，今日開始了年中考試。

Today (26-06-2025), the 1st day of the 5th Bhutanese month, at Karma Thegsum Dechenling Monastery, the monastic and local lay community gathered together to celebrate the birthday of the crown jewel of the Kagyu teachings, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa. Together with Kagyu monasteries from India, Nepal, and Bhutan, His Holiness presided online a smoke offering puja for the Karmapa’s birthday. Following this, awards and prizes were presented to the students for monthly outstanding essays.

今日（6月26日），藏曆五月初一，於不丹三乘大樂林，寺院僧團與當地居士共同聚集，慶祝噶舉教法之頂嚴——第十七世大寶法王噶瑪巴之誕辰吉日。通過網路連線，在法王噶瑪巴帶領下，與印度、尼泊爾、不丹三地之噶舉寺院共同進行殊勝的煙供法會。隨後，寺院向學生頒發月度作文競賽之獎品。
