With profound sorrow and a heavy heart, we mourn the passing of a truly remarkable and compassionate soul from Yarphu(Cho ngapa) Wangphu Gewog under Samdrup Jongkhar Dzongkhag.
At the age of 74, he peacefully departed from this world at Mongar Regional Referral Hospital on the 23rd of May, 2026, leaving behind countless memories, blessings, and grateful hearts.
He was not a doctor by certificate, yet to many patients he was far more than a professional doctor and not less than a god of medicine. Through his deep knowledge of traditional and local healing practices, he devoted his life to helping people from every walk of life. With humble wisdom, kindness, and dedication, he treated numerous patients who sought his help when hope seemed distant.
People travelled from different places to seek his treatment and guidance because they trusted not only his medicine, but also his compassion, sincerity, and healing touch. Many individuals recovered and regained strength through his care. Some even believed that he had helped patients suffering from severe illnesses, including cancer. Whether every story can be proven or not, one truth remains unquestionable his treatment brought comfort, hope, and healing to many lives.
He was a man rich not in titles or certificates, but in experience, wisdom, humanity, and service to others. His life was a living example that genuine care and selfless service can heal hearts beyond medicine itself.
Today, we have not only lost a local healer, but also a respected elder, a compassionate caregiver, and a precious source of indigenous knowledge. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him and benefited from his kindness.
May his noble soul attain eternal peace and higher rebirth. His legacy of compassion and healing will forever remain in the hearts of the people.
