I just watched this farewell video on YouTube, and it truly broke my heart. It’s always difficult to see someone resign from a job they once dedicated themselves to.

From his remarks, it seems the IWP has become a source of demotivation for many civil servants rather than a system that encourages and inspires them.

What struck me most was his statement asking to be rated as “Needs Improvement” if it would benefit the welfare of the civil servants who remain. But if that were truly the case, does it really mean he wasn’t performing well? Or is it a reflection of deeper issues within the system?

Bullying and ragging in schools are not new issues. Similar, and sometimes even more serious incidents, have existed for years but often went unreported and unrecorded. Today, social media has made such cases more visible, bringing them to public attention. While this video may be the first to go viral, it should serve as a wake-up call for authorities and schools to seriously examine whether ragging culture still exists and take stronger measures to ensure a safe learning environment for every student.

Every day, I find myself thinking about quitting my current job from government and going abroad to earn more. There are many moments when I feel frustrated by the workload, by decisions at the office, bureaucratic system and sometimes even by my superiors.

But then I reflect on the extraordinary blessings and the visionary leadership of His Majesty. That thought grounds me. It reminds me that instead of complaining, I should stay committed, work harder, and contribute with a stronger sense of purpose.

GST-Gunda Shopkeeper Tax

The GST implementation is not clear. Almost every shop is charging an additional 5% GST. Why didn’t the government provide clear and detailed instructions to shopkeepers? Many shopkeepers seem to be charging GST blindly.

How are customers supposed to know whether this 5% is actually being remitted to the government by the shopkeepers? Ideally, GST should be paid directly to the government and not routed through shopkeepers without transparency.

At this point, it is difficult not to suspect that this 5% is simply going into the shopkeepers’ pockets.
