DRUKPA’S HEART - A Film That Unfolds, Rather Than Explains

I must admit, Drukpa’s Heart is on another level compared to many of the films we have been accustomed to watching.

The film doesn’t reveal everything in the beginning. It quietly builds the story, characters and emotions. But once you cross the intermission, the real experience begins, the thrill, the twists, the deeper messages and the characters all start coming together.

What stayed with me most is the underlying message of surrendering the self, awakening one’s true character, and discovering the strength of an unconditional mother and son bond. The film doesn’t simply tell you the message, it makes you experience it.

And a small piece of advice to the audience:
WATCH IT WITH FULL ATTENTION. Every detail matters. Miss a few moments and you may find yourself wondering what happened later. So, keep the phones away, avoid unnecessary conversations, and let the film take you on its journey.

Sometimes, a film is not meant to be explained while watching it, it is meant to be felt.
