Nabji village, located in Korphu Gewog under Trongsa Dzongkhag, holds profound historical and spiritual significance. It is revered as the site where Guru Rinpoche brokered a peace treaty between King Sindhu Raja of Bumthang and King Nawoche of Assam in the eighth century. The sacred Nabji Lhakhang enshrines the stone pillar known as Na-do (the stone pillar of oath), bearing the handprints of Guru Rinpoche, King Sindhu Raja, and King Nawoche, symbolizing the historic oath of peace. The temple is believed to have been built by khandro Tashi Khyidren, the daughter of King Sindhu Raja and a consort of Guru Rinpoche.

Nabji is also renowned for its annual Nabji lhakhang drup, a vibrant festival that reflects the community’s living spiritual heritage. In addition, the village is blessed with multiple sacred nyes and spiritual sites associated with Guru Rinpoche, making Nabji an important centre of pilgrimage and devotion.
