There is something heartwarming about watching the Paro valley turn gold almost overnight.

It’s nature’s way of signalling a change of season. And in Paro, every season brings a completely different side of the valley. The paddy fields are the giveaway. Green in summer, gold in autumn, bare and quiet in winter. The same view, four different moods.

Autumn is harvest season. The time when farmers reap what they’ve spent months tending. There’s a quiet satisfaction in the valley during this time that you feel even as a visitor passing through.

The skies clear after monsoon. The light gets sharp. The whole country feels like it’s at its best. I miss it every year at this time.
If you’re thinking about Bhutan this autumn, September through November, now is the right time to start planning. We’d love to help shape your journey.

After the festival ends, Bhutan becomes quieter.

The crowds leave.
The drums fall silent.
And what remains is the rhythm of everyday life.
A monk crossing a courtyard.
A doorway closing behind morning prayer.
A farmer moving through the fields.
A place held by mountains, stillness, and time.

This is the Bhutan we believe in sharing. Not only moments of celebration, but also the quieter ones in between.

If you’re planning your journey, we design experiences that go beyond events and into the heart of Bhutan.
