One thing I’ve learned on this journey is to be very careful about who I listen to—and that includes the people I keep around me. The way people think, view life, and respond to situations can have a big influence, so I choose wisely. Just because we talk or know each other doesn’t mean you really know me. We may not share the same values, mindset, or energy. And that matters.

I’ve learned to protect my thoughts, beliefs, faith, and perspective. I don’t easily change for anyone—because building who I am took time, growth, and deep reflection. That same mindset applies to my music career. There’s a lot of noise out there, but I focus only on what makes sense to me and what helps me move forward.

From a young age, I dreamed of being an entrepreneur. Music gave me that chance. I’ve been told that business principles are the same everywhere—so I know I must invest in knowledge to position myself well. It’s not easy, and it was never meant to be. If it were, everyone would be doing it.

Sometimes, I wish I could fast forward to the success I imagine, but then I remember that life follows seasons. Everything has its time. The key is to stay prepared—because when your time comes, if you're not ready, you could miss it.

I am BARATWA. I’m going to make it. In fact, I am making it—whether people believe it or not. Their doubt is their problem, not mine.

Be careful who you listen to. Some people just want to use you to fight their own battles. Others want to control your path, feed their egos, or hold you back—simply because they couldn’t chase their own dreams. Stay focused. Stay true.
