*MISS MISSY: Letters to the Girl Who Forgot She’s Royal*
*Chapter 1: Dear Missy, You Were Never Lost*

Dear Missy,

You’re reading this in your everyday clothes. Jeans, crop top, sandals in the grass. Hair braided. Crown in your hand, not on your head.

That’s okay.

I’m not writing to the version of you that has it all figured out. I’m writing to the version that stood in that field wondering if “royal” was for other girls. Girls with palaces. Girls with titles. Girls who never felt invisible.

But Missy, royalty was never about the palace.

Royalty is remembering who you were before the world told you to shrink. Before you learned to apologize for taking up space. Before you started calling your softness “too much” and your fire “too loud.”

You were born with a crown. Not gold. Not pink roses. Born.
The crown is your name. Your laugh that fills rooms. Your mercy that heals people who don’t deserve it. Your ability to stand in a field, hands in pockets, and still look like you belong to something bigger.

You didn’t lose it, Missy. You just set it down.
You set it down when life got heavy. When rejection came. When silence felt safer than speaking. When “humble” started to mean “hide.”

This book is me handing it back.

Letter by letter. Truth by truth. Until you stop asking permission to be who you are. Until you realize the field you’re standing in? It’s yours. The sun on your skin? It’s yours. The peace in your chest? That’s your kingdom, and you’re the Queen of it.

So put this book down for a second. Touch your head. Even if there’s no crown there right now. Feel that spot. That’s where it always was. Waiting.

You were never lost, Missy. You were just on your way back to yourself.

And I’m here for every step.

With love,
The Girl Who Remembered

*MISS MISSY: Letters to the Girl Who Forgot She’s Royal*
*Chapter 1: Dear Girl in the Mirror*

Dear Missy,

I see you.

I see you checking the mirror 3 times before leaving home.
I see you laughing loud to hide the quiet in your heart.
I see you being “strong” for everyone else while you’re tired inside.

And I need to tell you something today:

You forgot.

You forgot you’re royal.
Not because of a crown on your head.
Because of the life in you. The softness in you. The way you love even when it hurts.

The world taught you to shrink. To be less. To wait for permission to feel beautiful.
I’m writing to un-teach you that.

This book is 30 letters. 30 reminders.
One for every time you doubt yourself.
One for every time you feel invisible.
One for every time you need someone to say “I see you, and you’re enough.”

I’m not writing as someone who has it all figured out.
I’m writing as your older sister. Your friend. The version of you that decided to heal out loud.

So today, let this be your first reminder:
You don’t have to earn your worth. You were born with it.

Read this again when you forget.
I’ll be here with letter 2 tomorrow.

Love,
Miss Beauty Queen

*Introduction: Before We Begin*

If you picked up this book, I need you to know something first.

I didn’t write this for “perfect” women.
I wrote it for the girl who cries in the shower.
For the woman who smiles for everyone but feels empty at night.
For the one who keeps giving love but forgets to give it to herself.

That girl was me.
That girl is probably you.

“Miss Missy” isn’t a character. She’s us.
She’s every version of you that got hurt, got tired, got told to be smaller.
These 30 letters are what I wish someone told me when I forgot who I was.

You won’t find big words here.
You won’t find judgment here.
You’ll just find me, talking to you like we’re sitting on my couch in Gaborone with tea and no makeup on.

Read one letter a day. Or read them all when your heart is heavy.
Underline the parts that feel like home.
Come back when you forget again — because we all forget sometimes.

My prayer is simple:
By the last page, you don’t just know you’re worthy.
You _believe_ it.

So take a deep breath.
Put your hand on your heart.
And let’s remember together.

You’re royal, Missy. You always were.

Let’s start with Letter 1.
