BNF Members Celebrate Motshegwaโ€™s Defeat Amid Leaked Audio Controversy

Some Botswana National Front (BNF) members are openly celebrating the electoral defeat of Hon. Motshegwa at the partyโ€™s congress over the weekend.

A controversial voice note has surfaced, allegedly from Nollen Bome, a public servant in the Office of the President, stating that Motshegwaโ€™s loss was necessary to โ€œsave the party.โ€

The voice note harshly criticizes Motshegwaโ€™s character, describing him as arrogant and divisive. The voice note says, โ€œMonna yo Motshegwa one a tshwanetse go jewa ka gore o bosula hela thata o botlhoko jaaka bompe jwa gagwe because he was so full of himself thinking gore he is the best thing that ever happened to BNFโ€ has sparked debate, raising tensions within party ranks.

Greetings, comrades, brothers and sisters who campaigned under the banner of "Team Stability and Continuity" as candidates and the campaigners. Thank you so very much for the support , encouragement and resilient campaign. I am humbled by the dedication and commitment you showed. You chose me, and I chose you . Even in another life I will still choose you. You comrades are amazing, so full of love and peace. You will always be a part of me, for in the future we will look back and realise that together we share a good history. We contested to win, but the counted results say to us that we lost. While so I am surprised that I feel at peace more than ever in my life, I am at peace with my life.

Dont be heartbroken, be heart healed. Let's accept things as they are and move on in peace. Leaders come and go but organisations remain, so I came, and now left but the organisation remain. Let us continue to believe in the organisation and its ideals, support the elected party leaders wholeheartedly . Let us be guided not by emotions but hope, perseverance and believe in the future.

My attitude in life is that everything happens for a reason, had I won, there would have been a big reason for that to be realised, now that the results indicate that I have lost, also there is a big reason for that to be realised. IT IS WELL.

At the end of it all, It was like attending my own funeral, I witnessed those who came, and those who did not come
