AN UNDERTAKING WORTH LOOKING BACK ON 💢‼️

We often overlook how much courage it takes to venture out. To pursue a dream. The associated risks, hours of thought, refining and most importantly ex*****on. Last year July, we made a first post to run a project titled THE VOICE OVER MARATHON 2025.

The goal was simple.
❇️The bulk production of voice over work for 20 clients
❇️Keep the project a timeline of only 7 days to complete
❇️Document and share the journey to inspire other creatives and raise awareness of this art form

THE PROCESS
_ Over 100 outreaches, meetings, emails and phone calls
_ Hours in studio for production
_ A lot of explaining of our why and value proposition

THE RESULT
_Amazing partnerships and collaboration to the undertaking of
_Many learning moments into the coordination, project management, client relations, and quality control.
_ The reward of executing on a dream and the reassuring reviews of a project well done.

AGAIN WHY?
A voice over branding layer is an opportunity to hold the hand of a customer, introduce a brand and why it matches customer needs. To share a message with nuance, tone and cadence that resonates with clients and so much more.
8 years ago I discovered and grew passionate about voice over work, and last year, I collaborated with 6 other creatives to share a part of our story with you.
Once again a special thank you to

I learnt very early on that environment & systems matter in productivity. 📈
If I am going to do a high creative tasks and/or high mental focus task- the fewer distraction and interruption works better for me.
The less friction when you likely already have a mentally demanding task or undertaking is preferable.

When I have admin, the slight cluttered desk helps with mental sanity, when I’m mapping a big project and it’s logistics, sometimes all I will have is blank sheet of paper to kick off the brainstorm and eventually move to the bells and whistles. 🔔

Then, of course the outdoor office comes in handy☕️- where the ambient noise and randomness of cafe guests going about their day can spark serendipity.

Cheers to this happy beautiful space-where I sometimes overwork ✨

At the local Manufacturing summit of 2026, there are two roles I had the privilege of covering. One was behind the scenes and the second was front and centre, equally adding to the flow of a great summit put together by the Botswana Chamber of Mines and its Partners and sponsors.

LMS26 is a 2 day summit bringing together leading local manufacturing enthusiasts from all industries across the country to shape the future of Botswana's manufacturing sector.

BTS role for DAY 1, I call it AUDIBLE & INVISIBLE, what industry calls Voice of God or V.O.G. Pass me a mic, a script, put me at the media desk, or a separate room and have live announcements read to your audience, to help aid your MC run things smoothly. If any changes happen between organised plan and event day, changes are seamless.
TIP: Still wear a suit, and dress for the occasion because you are part of it.

DAY 2 was a lot more visible, but the key word is FACILITATOR. With so many brilliant minds in the room, and an industry to be built, it is always key to ensure a smooth transition, keep the audience engaged, make the speakers and panelist even more comfortable to deliver on their objectives and the overall event objective. TIP: Be comfortable and composed.

A special appreciation to the team at the Botswana Chamber of mines and Business Botswana for their platform and the sponsors and partners of the whole event Stanbic Bank Botswana, UNDP, Debswana mining Company, Senior Insurance Company, MMG Khoemacau, IS3- Industry Software Solutions &Support, Aveva Select, Premier Clothing , Grandways, Solution Point, BPC, Morupule Coal Mine, Botash, Sandfire Motheo , Abaricom, The Businessweekly & review.
And now the pics.
