At some point, you need to stop talking and let your actions move them. 😌

You’ve explained enough.

They know what they did.
They know what you said.
They know what you expect.
They just want to see whether you’ll actually stand on it. 😂

So stop making announcements.

Don’t say, “I’m going to distance myself.”
Just distance yourself.

Don’t say, “I’m focusing on myself.”
Go focus on yourself.

Don’t say, “I’m done tolerating this.”
Stop tolerating it.

Don’t tell people you’ve changed.

Let them experience the new you.

Because sometimes we talk so much about the boundaries we’re going to set that people learn exactly how far they can push us before we finally enforce them. 😭

Less explaining.
Less proving.
Less announcing.

Move differently.

Let your actions say what your mouth is tired of repeating. 🤌🏽

And please… don’t post cryptic WhatsApp statuses about it either. 😭😂
Silence is also a statement.

We laugh. We learn. We heal. 🤍

Meet Katli ❤️

Hello, beautiful people. 🌸

If you’re new here, allow me to introduce myself.

I’m Katli — a Social Worker, Counsellor, mental wellness advocate and a woman who believes that sometimes people don’t need judgement; they simply need a safe place to be heard.

Through my work, Rise and Heal with Katli, I create conversations around relationships, self-worth, healing, boundaries, grief, mental wellbeing, family challenges and the real-life situations that many of us experience but are sometimes too afraid to talk about.

My purpose is simple: to help people understand themselves, heal from what hurt them, and make healthier choices moving forward.

Here, you can expect honest conversations, practical guidance, a little humour 😂, uncomfortable truths, encouragement and reminders that you are allowed to choose yourself without feeling guilty.

I want this page to be a safe and relatable space where you can learn, reflect, laugh, ask questions and, most importantly, heal.

Whether you are going through something personally, trying to understand a relationship, raising children, supporting someone who is struggling, or simply trying to become a better version of yourself — you belong here. ❤️

I may not have every answer, but I promise to keep creating conversations that help us find better ones.

Welcome to my corner of the internet. 🌸

I’m Katli.
This is Rise and Heal.
And here, we heal — one conversation at a time. ❤️

Hello Katli. Please post for me anonymously.

I need advice about my situation.

I am currently in Form 5. My parents passed away about two years ago, and after that, my family decided that my aunt should come and stay with me in my father’s house because she is not working and could take care of me.

At first, everything was okay. But things have changed, and I am no longer comfortable living in my own home.

My aunt brings different boyfriends to the house and sometimes changes boyfriends, and this happens openly in front of me. I feel uncomfortable and embarrassed, especially because this is my father’s home and I feel like I no longer have peace or privacy there.

The difficult part is that there are already disputes within the family, so I am scared to raise the issue because I don’t know how they will react or whether they will even listen to me.

I feel that I am old enough to start becoming independent. I plait hair and do people’s nails, so I can make some money for myself. I also receive an allowance through my parents’ insurance, but my aunt and I are constantly fighting about it because she wants to share the money with me.

I honestly don’t know what to do anymore. I don’t want to disrespect my aunt, but I also feel that I deserve to feel safe, comfortable and respected in my own home.

Should I ask the family to allow me to stay alone, or should I look for another trusted adult or relative to stay with me? And what can I do about the allowance if my aunt is trying to control or share it?

Please advise me because I feel trapped and I don’t know who to approach.
