Kenya gave me a little bit of everything: city energy, rich culture, street markets, and unforgettable elephant sanctuary. Nairobi has a rhythm of its own, and this trip was a reminder that every country on the continent tells a different story. 🇰🇪

We’ve been getting a lot of questions about Seychelles lately, and honestly, it is still one of our favorite places we’ve visited while living on the continent. 🌴

From the islands and beaches to the culture and food, everything about Seychelles felt peaceful, welcoming, and unforgettable. The water, the people, the scenery, and the slower pace of life made it one of those places that really stays with you after you leave.

One of the greatest blessings of living on the continent these past 3 years has been experiencing safari as a family. There is something unreal about seeing these animals in their natural environment with no fences, no cages, and no filters.

From elephants crossing right in front of us, to lions staring directly into the vehicle, every drive through the Madikwe region reminded us how powerful and beautiful nature really is.

We’ve been fortunate enough to see just about every animal… except that sneaky leopard that somehow always stayed one step ahead of us. Maybe that just means we have to keep coming back. 🦁🐘🦏

One of the most unforgettable experiences in Namibia was spending time with the incredible Himba people in the north. Their culture, traditions, and way of life carried such a pure and grounded energy.

There was something powerful about the simplicity, connection, and authenticity of every interaction. No distractions. No pretending. Just genuine people, deep traditions, and a strong sense of community.

It was truly an honor to share space, conversations, and moments with them. Experiences like this remind us how much beauty there is in learning from cultures different from our own. 🇳🇦

Sun City has become one of our favorite family getaways in South Africa. From the beautiful architecture and relaxing atmosphere to the water park and activities for the kids, it’s one of those places where everyone in the family genuinely has a good time. Moments like these remind us why we love exploring this part of the world together.

We tried camping as a family and quickly realized it just was not for us. We are definitely more of a luxury hotel type family. 😂

Nonetheless, we decided to tough it out, make memories, take photos, and document the experience knowing after the first night this would probably be our last camping trip.

To make things even more memorable, on our very first night we encountered a Mozambique spitting cobra in the campsite bathroom. 😩The snake is highly venomous and actually attempted to spit at Kendra.🐍

If it had not been nighttime, Kendra probably would have had us driving home immediately. Safe to say… this camping trip will never be forgotten.
