Botswana Congress Party activists have moved to reassure party members that the party will not be breaking up, after its dismal performance at the just ended general elections, and the loss of the Gaborone Central seat by party leader Dumelang Saleshando.

Speaking to Gabz Fm news immediately after being elected MP for Selibe Phikwe West, BCP youth League President Dithapelo Keoprapestse, said the party is much larger than just one individual.

Keorapetse and losing candidate for Phikwe East, Kgoberego Nkawana, also held a combined rally in Botshabelo, to thank the electorate and to emphasize to the members, that the BCP was still very much alive.

The two accused the BDP of sponsoring independent candidate for Phikwe East, Oarabile Tshenyego, to split votes.
