CHARACTER BIO
1. BONTLE- Gorgeous, brown skin girl and she is 18 years old. She is wayward. She has zero respect for her stepfather Mathubadihala. Her mother enables her behavior and spoils her rotten. She is a student and she dates older men.
2. LEBO- She is a light skinned girl between the ages of 18-20. She is a student raised by her grandmother. She lost her parents at a young age. She is Bontle’s best froemd and she is easily influenced/ pressured. She dates older men.
3. THANDI- She is slim, light in complexion and between the ages of 18-20. She is a student. Her mother illtreats her and her step father (Diratsame) Sexually abuses her. She is a brilliant and respectful child. She is Tshotlego’s best friend.
4. TSHOTLEGO- Brown skin girl, slim. She is between the ages of 18-20. Her parents are Tlantsola and Mmamphogi and her siblings are Bamphabampona and Keaitlhoka. She is intelligent and she works hard at school in hopes that one day she will pull her family out of poverty.
5. SHWENENE- He is between the ages of 18-20, has a deep voice, medium height and fluent in Tsotsi taal. He is a student and Keaitlhoka’s boyfriend. He sells ma*****na and ci******es at school. He is a bully.
6. THIBOZ- He is a student between the ages of 18-20. He speaks Tsotsi Taal. He is Shakes and Shwenene’s best friend. They smoke ci******es and ma*****na at school.
7. SHAKES- He is a student between the ages of 18-20. He is easily peer pressured by his friends Thiboz and Shwenene.
8. MISS T- He is a gay boy between the ages of 18-20yrs. He is a student. His friends ate Bontle and Lebo. He likes clubbing and drinking alcohol. He also dates older men for money
9. MMA BANTENNE- She is a Setswana teacher. She keeps her hair natural. She cares for her students and only wants the best for them.
10. MR SESIANE-HEADMASTER. He is an older man between the ages of 45-50. He is brown skin man. He's a stern man, hell-bent on instilling the best behavior on his students.
11. MR MOSALAUSI -Male teacher –Medium height, light in complexion,35-40yrs. He is a rotten teacher who promotes bad behavior in school. He is always seen smoking ci******es and ma*****na with Shwenene and his friends.

15. MMAMPHOGI- She is Tlantsola’s wife, she is naturally tiny and she is between the ages of 40-45. She is a brown skin woman. She loves food and never misses any celebration, ceremony or funeral in the village. Her kids are Tshotlego, Keaitlhoka and Bamphabampona.
16. BAMPHABAMPONA- He is Tlantsola’s son, brown in complexion. He is between the ages of 10-15. He enjoys hunting birds and rabbits. He doesn’t attend school as he looks after Tlantsola and Mmamphogi’s donkeys. He is always dirty.
17. MZAKESMAN- He is 18 years and a form 3 student. He is a bully in his school. He smokes katse and ci******es with his friend Skhokho and Mr Mosalausi in school.
18. SKHOKHO- He is between the ages of 18-20. He is a dark skinned boy. He always does everything that his friend MzakesMan does at school. He is a follower not a leader.
19. ZOSKIE- He is a Gangster between the ages of 25-30yrs. He works at a car wash but sells drugs to younger people. His boss is Bra K.
20. MAVUSANE- He is a gangster between the ages of 25-30yrs. He is light in complexion and works with Zoskie.
21. MATHUBADIHALA- He is a rich man, Bontle’ step-father, he is between the ages of 50-60yrs. He is a loving man, who always tries to lead his step daughter towards the right path.He is married to Mmolopita.
22. DIRATSAME- He is Thandi’s step-father. He is charming and between the ages of 30-35. He is dating Thandi’s mom but he is secretly interested in Thandi. He is a wolf in sheep skin.
23. MMAGWE THANDI- She is an older woman between the ages of 40-45. She is bitter and ill-treats her daughter Thandi. She would rather sweep things under the rug instead of bringing them to light. She puts her relationship before her child.
24. KEAITLHOKA- Tshotlego’s eldest sister. She is between the ages of 20-25. She is brown in complexion.She quit school in order to work in Gaborone as a maid to assist her family financially. She is Shwenene’ s girlfriend.
25. NCHADINYANA- A talkative woman between the ages of 30-35. She is a brown skin woman. She works at a shebeen selling khadi and traditional beer.
26. TLANTSOLA – He is an older brown skin man between the ages of 40-45. He is Mmamphogi’s husband and he is always at the shebeen. He is HIV positive but he doesn’t always care to take his medicine unless his wife forces him to do it. Rrabaneke is his drinking partner.
27. RRABANEKE- Traditional doctor, 40-45yrs, dark in color. He is slim, addicted to his sneif. He is always at the shebeen. He has an interest in Nchadinyana and he is Tlantsola ‘s drinking partner.
28. JIKA- VIBEY- She is a pretty girl, 20-25 years. She survives by selling her body. She is HIV positive but doesn’t take care of herself. She is reckless with her health.
29. MMAGWE BONTLE- KHUMAGADI- She is an older woman between the ages of 45-50yrs. She is Bontle’s mom and she spoils her rotten. She has no respect for her husband (Mathubadihala) . She hates it when her husband reprimands her daughter. She thinks giving Bontle all the freedom and money is loving her.
30. NKUKUAGWE LEBO- 60-65yrs, brown in color, she solely raises her grandchild Lebo after the death of her parents. She always encourages Lebo not to do wayward things at her age and urges her to study hard at school to become a better person in future. She wants the best for her only grandchild and always defends Lebo whenever people tell her of Lebo’s wayward behavior.
