Every year on December 1st, Botswana joins the world in celebrate World AIDS Day, serving as a global reminder of the persistent efforts in combating the HIV pandemic. The day brings people together around the world to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and show solidarity in the face of the epidemic. The world AIDS day has become one of the most recognised international health days providing opportunities for nations to create awareness, commemorating those who died of AIDS, and celebrating successes made so far in increased access to treatment and prevention services.
