Word of the Day - Train Up a Child

Proverbs 22:6 - Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Sub-topic - Restoring Our Children Back to God.

Beloved, the Word of God reminds us that children are a gift from the Lord, but gifts must be nurtured, guided, and protected. The Scripture says, “Train up a child,” which means it is our divine responsibility as parents, guardians, and leaders to shape the hearts and minds of our children according to God’s Word.

But today, we are witnessing a generation that is under attack. Many of our children are lost they no longer listen to their parents, they disrespect teachers, they are trapped in drugs, peer pressure, and hopelessness. Some are even driven to take their own lives because they see no way out.

Family of God, this is not the time to give up on them. This is the time to stand in the gap.
Training a child is not just about speaking it’s about modeling godly living. It’s showing them love, but also correction; grace, but also discipline. The Word says, “He who spares the rod hates his son.” Correction done in love saves a soul from destruction.(Ga re ba re cha cha ka thupa,mme re dira ka lorato go busetsa mo tseleng.

We must rise again as parents who pray for our children, who set boundaries, who counsel, coach, and guide them back to the ways of God. Society has made us believe discipline is cruelty, but the truth is correction saves lives. We cannot allow the enemy to sn**ch our children while we remain silent.

Let us therefore pray for a spiritual awakening among our youth that they may return to the fear of God, honor their parents, and find purpose in Christ. Let’s ask God to heal the broken homes, restore communication, and give us wisdom to guide this generation.

When we train them in the way of the Lord, the Word promises “when they are old, they will not depart from it.” The seed of God’s Word planted in their hearts will bring them back, no matter how far they’ve wandered.

So tonight, as we pray, let’s intercede for every lost son and daughter that the Spirit of God may bring them back home. 🙏🏽
