Taking advantage of the recent CISNA meetings held in Maun this week, the Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority (NBFIRA) saw it befitting to make a meaningful contribution to the social and economic upliftment of the local community.

Through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the authority demonstrated this commitment by supporting education through financial contributions to the Tshidilo Stimulation Center and Boseja Primary School. The learning institutions received cheques worth P30, 000 and P20, 000 respectively.

NBFIRA hosted the 48th Committee of Insurance, Securities and Non-Banking Financial Authorities (CISNA) Annual General Meeting in Maun this week.

MMG Khoemacau's annual Lake Ngami Cycling Classic returns

MMG Khoemacau, is thrilled to announce the fourth annual Lake Ngami Cycling Classic set to take place on Saturday, 18th October 2025, in Toteng Village under the theme "Riding Towards Impact."

The charity cycling challenge which forms part of MMG Khoemacauโ€™s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is aimed at raising funds to support community development initiatives in the villages around the Mine.

These villages are Sehithwa, Toteng, Komana, Legothwane, Bodibeng, Bothatogo, and Somelo.

The Botswana Defence Force (BDF) is participating in Exercise Blue Lugwasho 2025, a Southern African Development Community(SADC) air exercise taking place in Livingstone, Zambia from 08 to 26 September 2025.

This multinational exercise is designed to enhance the capacity of SADC Air Forces in the planning and ex*****on of humanitarian assistance operations in complex and hostile environments . It provides a platform for member states to strengthen cooperation, share expertise and improve the ability to respond collectively to regional challenges.

BDF's contribution to Exercise Blue Lugwasho is anchored by the C-130 Hercules aircraft, which supports a variety of missions including the transportation of personnel and humanitarian relief supplies. 450 tons of maize is delivered across Zambia to assist with hunger relief during the exercise

Nine(09) countries are participating in this exercise; Angola, Botswana Lesotho, Namibia, Malawi ,Tanzania ,South Africa ,Zambia and Zimbabwe.
