ACCESS BANK CEO UNVEILS FUTURE-READY BANKING VISION AT BLOOMBERG AFRICA SUMMIT

Access Bank CEO, Roosevelt Ogbonna, delivered a powerful message at the Bloomberg Africa Business Summit in Johannesburg, calling for a redefined future of banking that positions Africa as a global force in trade, innovation, and production.

Speaking to global investors and policymakers, Ogbonna highlighted Africa’s resilience, strong investor appetite, and the growing impact of reform-driven economies citing Nigeria’s oversubscribed Eurobond as proof that confidence in Africa is rising.

He urged African leaders to pair global perspectives with strong local ownership, unlock domestic capital, and challenge the long-standing “perception premium” that inflates risk across the continent.

Ogbonna emphasized Access Bank’s commitment to full-spectrum banking that empowers SMEs, corporates, and emerging sectors such as renewable energy and digital infrastructure, while leveraging Africa’s talent, resources, and ambition.
