Hello everyone, you can see we have been MIA for a while. This has been on purpose and we have been taking some time for ourselves.
Over the last 12 years we have created an incredible life with NOMADasaurus. The brand has allowed us to meet so many amazing people and travel to so many great places. We are so appreciative and so grateful for this and have cherished every moment.
Doing this full time since 2013, NOMADasaurus has gone from a little travel website to one of the world’s biggest travel blogs, evolved into a tourism marketing brand and even became a tour company. We have loved seeing it grow and have loved doing this together.
Last year we both were extremely burnt out. We lost all energy and motivation for the business. We stopped taking jobs as we felt we would not be giving 100% or delivering the quality our clients deserved. We knew we would not be giving the 100% honesty and quality you, our amazing followers, deserve.
The pressure got too much to always be online and publishing, and we put our mental health first.
We have been concentrating on ourselves and what we want to do. And of course that still means travelling! Jarryd has been working in the polar regions as an expedition photography guide and loving it (some of you have even met him on the ships). I joined him down in Antarctica as well working as a manager on one of the ships. It has been a nice change to step away and have a change for a while to reevaluate. I think we both were so lost for a while and needed to find our passion again. Which we are on the right path now.
Just thought I'd share this with you all to let you know where we are at in life. And especially to identify when you are not ok and addressing ways to help you through this time and ways to fix it.
We’re still here, still travelling, still capturing photos and still telling stories. We’re still running tours and the website is still alive and well. We’re just not quite as present on social media as we have been.
Thanks for being part of the journey over the years and we look forward to coming back when we’re recharged.
