GOT VERY LUCKY coming back from Kanye to Francistown — and it was worth every mile!
Just yesterday afternoon, I got a short-notice call from the National Arts Council, and without hesitation, I changed course and made my way to Francistown for the National Arts Competition, arrived this morning. Took the chance, showed up — and I’m proud to say I scooped 2nd position! 🙌🏽🔥
Big congratulations to DJ STARLADY for taking the well-deserved 1st place 👑💃🏽 — you killed it! Much respect to DJ FLAKESOUL and DJ CROX as well for representing the art with passion 💪🏽🎧.
I was a bit disappointed that many Francistown DJs didn’t participate — maybe due to lack of info or other reasons, I really don’t know. But the platform was there. I just believed in myself, made the long trip, and it paid off.
Now I’m excited to continue to the final round, where DJs from all regions will connect and bring the best sounds in the country 🎶🇧🇼. Win or Not, I’m just grateful for the journey, the growth, and the experience.
