Fashion has always been more than fabric and stitching it is identity, self-expression, and confidence woven into style. For Pako Abotseng, the founder of Cleon Cole Clothing Brand, fashion became the canvas on which he could tell stories, inspire others, and create a legacy of ambition and individuality.
The name Cleon Cole means “renowned victory of the people.” It’s more than fashion it’s about strength, identity, and owning your space in the world. With the slogan “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail,” the brand represents ambition, resilience, and luxury streetwear that empowers people to believe: You are powerful. You are enough.
The idea began while Pako was in Form 5 at Mogoditshane Senior. With no funds, he sold snacks at school to raise his startup capital. By 2024, Cleon Cole officially launched with designs that blend originality, culture, and global appeal.
Like any entrepreneur, Pako faced funding struggles, supplier trust issues, and tough competition. But with consistency, authenticity, and listening to his customers, Cleon Cole began to stand out in the fashion industry.
In the next 5 years, Pako sees Cleon Cole becoming one of Botswana’s top luxury streetwear brands, expanding internationally through collaborations, fashion shows, and online growth. More importantly, he wants the brand to inspire the youth to chase their dreams.
