There are two things that also need to be kept far apart: nature of the act and purpose of the act. Nature of the act is r**e. Purpose of the act is cleansing. It appears that the complainant consented to the s*xual act for the purpose of cleansing. If s*xual activity cleansed her, then she has no problem with the act. Her problem is that she later learnt that the s*xual activity was for nothing and does not cleanse. The pastor just wanted s*xual gratification. She complains about purpose therefore, not that she did not consent to s*x. She AGREED to s*x because she believed it serves the purpose of CLEANSING. Now because there is no cleansing, she cries r**e. NO! She fully appreciated what she was doing… she consented to s*x and was prepared to do it provided it serves the purpose. And no, he did not get s*x under false pretence if genuinely believes s*x cleanses. If you sleep with a woman promising to marry her. If it turns out you have no marriage intentions, but just wanted the fruit… have you r**ed?
