Awesome trip and experience,learned more about the Basarwa culture and traditions and way of life ,how modern culture affected theirs positively and negatively.

“A waterfall is nature’s way of sharing the beautiful music of the world.”

And today’s music was insanely beautiful and very inspiring,And I invited a friend to tag along(like every outdoorsy I invite a different face)and this one he is a nature enthusiast and he graced it nicely the invite .bailelwang

Today’s hike was Megale Gorge which is situated in a small village in Manyana,the gorge has about 4 waterfalls and small ones and a pond in between,not only did we hike we visited some of the historical places the village offers,passed to check out what used to be a dam way back which is Ramoshage dam which now Kolobeng river runs through the what is left of the walls which the descended dams,then visited another hill which plays a vital role to the tribes who were involved in Dimawe battle back in the days,you can still see the stone structures that they built for refuge and regroup and to defend themselves on top of the hill.
The experience was very good and amazing,and fun and very informative because of the gentlemen who was our guide for the day.we automatically connected and the vibe was great 😊

Today was a good day,hiking and fishing. ,invited couple of friends to explore gorge in Kanye,which is couple of kms from Gaborone.
It was an easy hike esp for newcomers.
Then spent the rest of the day fishing and it’s unfortunate tho that it wasn’t a good day,atleast I had a plan to bite something,lamb chops to braai.
Nothing beats outdoorsy 🙌🏾😋👌🏾

Today I found myself wanting to hike and the perfect place happened to be Mogonye gorge,just few minutes drive from my house then boom 💥 was welcomed by the beauty of the place(it was way better than the last time I visited it)
The green mountain and waterfalls. It was beautiful.
Though it needs structure maintainance but it was worth the visit with a friend .our guide Onalenna was amazing,we enjoyed our time with her.
Those around Gabs it’s your getaway place for couple of hours, you won’t regret it I promise.

My solo trip over the weekend, took a very much needed trip to Khutse over The Weekend to Khutse Game Reserve to remind myself how much I have been missing out on camping and these time around it was a solo trip to the wild and the place to do that was none other than Khutse which is not far from the city.
It was as serene and camping there gives you the wild that we yearn for,but the state of the roads inside and campsites are not in a good state(topic for another time) but the place has that THING that will make you have the best time and peace you looking for,makes you bring the most out of it,
The sightings is not the best either,(I have experienced the best there back then) just few few wildlife despite the water being available from both Khutse pan and Molose.
But on a nutshell I had fun alone,i achieved what I was looking for,camping and having own peace.

Hiking trail Couple of weeeks back
Its always good to hangout with likeminded friends and do some outdoor fun even if its around town but away from our comfort zones,as long as camping is involved one can never say no.
We hiked on a blazing heat to Manyana Gorge,it was a bit challenging cause of the heat but we were ready with the essentials for the trail.
We were hosted by a lovely guide name Kido who was exceptionally good and motivating.
The gorge was dry upon arrival but worth the visit and definitely for a return after rainy season.
After we camped by Notwane where we chilled and enjoyed the rest of the weekend by the river.
It wasn’t much but fun and enjoyable,relaxing.

Things that always draws us back to the bush,the sightings we never get tired/getting used to seeing.
The best part of my trips is sightings,I could spend hours just enjoying the wildlife doing their thing .
It’s amazing ,it’s refreshing it’s therapeutic for me.
