Human-Wildlife Coexistence stems from understanding, anticipating and appreciating wildlife behavior. Locals perceive them not as disturbances but as neighbours. It wouldn't be home without them. Valuable lessons that can be learnt by watching and listening.

After the grain is stored, a portion is removed for consumption. Around the mortar, long pestles rise and fall in ancient rhythm, pounding millet into flour. A living tradition, sustaining us in balance with the land.

Settling close to buy not on the river was a deliberate choice, passed down through generations, to conserve the river that sustains all people and the entire ecosystem. Conflict or co-existence... that is the question? A question that can only be answered by the residents. In the heart of Botswana's Okavango Panhandle, life pulses with raw beauty. Adjacent to the tourist known Okavango Delta, the communities farm this land while their wildlife neighbors roam freely. Face-to-face with these gentle giants, their presence reminds us that the Delta is alive, and they're part of it.
