✨️💃🕺🎶 All roads leads to TNT FEST next week on Wednesday 24th December 2025. ✨️💃🕺🎶
Tonota village, which is about 20 kilometres from Botswana’s second city Francistown, is set to introduce a new major entertainment attraction with the launch of the first-ever TNT FEST . This event is scheduled to be a prelude to Christmas, as it will take place on 24th December 2025 at the Tonota FC Grounds.
The inaugural festival comes with a stellar line-up featuring South African producer Heavy-K Drumboss , Mthunzi, gospel extraordinaire Dr Dr Winnie Mashaba , and prominent Djs and radio personalities Dj Gouveia and Dj Fresh. Botswana’s talented Dj LaTimmy, popular artist Chokoma, Kwasa-kwasa king Franco , and S’fundo also form part of the headline acts for the 1st edition of TNT Fest.
According to event organisers, TNT Fest is designed to showcase Tonota’s creative talent while drawing national attention to the village’s growing arts and entertainment scene. They were intentional in booking some acts from around the area so as to empower them on a bigger stage. The tagline is "from Tonota to The World" and this emphasises the intent of the organizers to take TNT Fest to magnanimous heights.
Other artists slated to perform include Janesh, Abi Wa Mampela, Kabelo Tiro aka Skavenger , Ancestral Rituals, Baxon, Shweshabite, Mma Oshima, Sean Pink, Malome Biki, Romeo Stunner, Tumza, Way-Kay, Mziuala, and several emerging acts. A full roster of DJs—among them Dj Skizoh Bw , Sly Ntshinogang , Peter Bunzonic Gaetsewe , Fizzy BW, Dj Missy, Dova DJs, Trax, Dj K.U.D, Dj Cue, and Dvj Dreazy —will support the show.
"The inaugural edition aims to position the village of Tonota as a competitive festive-season destination and attract revellers from across the country" said the organisers in an interview with Leisong Magazine. They state that Tonota has been usually quiet during the festive season, hence they came up with the concept of TNT Fest which will also have add-ons such as a football tournament and dikhwaere competition either side of the main event!
Advance tickets are available at various Liquorama and Choppies outlets at P200 (Standard), P300 (Admits 2 Early Bird), P250 (Golden) and P1,500 (Platinum). Organisers state and appreciate the encouraging early interest; citing Tonota’s central location, the festival’s comprehensive line-up, their social media marketing and visibility as key attraction factors.
TNT Fest is proudly supported by HSNV, Swift, Easyland, Heineken, Hunters, St Daniel and The Voice Newspaper Botswana. Security plans, logistics, and stall availability are underway to ensure a smooth debut for what organizers hope will become one of Botswana’s talked about and notable festive-season events worth attending.
