🇨🇦

Ten years ago, I picked up a microphone and started asking questions.

Not because I had all the answers.

Because I believed Canadians did.

Over 8,000 conversations later, I’ve learned something simple:

We may not agree on everything, but most of us want the same things for our children, our communities, and our future.

This is just the beginning.

We need all provinces .. we need each other at the table. This is the chance we have been waiting for.

🇨🇦 A thought that's been weighing on my heart...

We spend a lot of time talking about what is wrong with Canada.

Maybe it's time we spend more time talking about what we're willing to build together.

We need our youth to step forward.

Not someday.
Not when they're older.
Not when they have all the answers.

Now.

We need young people willing to ask difficult questions, challenge old ways of thinking, and imagine a future bigger than themselves.

But we also need our Elders.

We need their wisdom, their stories, their experience, and their guidance.

A nation cannot move forward if its youth are ignored.
A nation cannot move forward if its Elders are forgotten.

The strongest path forward is not one generation leading the other.

It's walking side by side.

Different voices.
Different experiences.
Different truths.

One shared responsibility to leave something better for those who come after us.

The question isn't what Canada will look like in seven generations.

The question is:

What are we doing today to help shape it?

💬 Youth, what future do you want to inherit?

💬 Elders, what wisdom do you believe we need to hear?

Let's have that conversation.

🚶‍♀️ As I walk and reflect…

Canada needs more women stepping forward.

Mothers. Aunties. Grandmothers. Sisters. Daughters.

The women who hold families together, carry stories forward, and quietly lead through strength, wisdom, and resilience.

Our communities are strongest when women’s voices are heard, respected, and empowered. Not just at the kitchen table, but at every table where decisions are made.

It’s time to lift each other up and make space for more matriarchs to lead. 🇨🇦✨

🌲 Seven Generations Thinking

When we plant a tree, restore a shoreline, teach a skill, share knowledge, or help a neighbour, we may never see the full impact of that action.

Yet future generations will.

The question is not whether we can predict the future.

The question is whether we are willing to take responsibility for it.

What decisions are we making today that will still matter 100 years from now?

What knowledge must be protected?

What relationships must be strengthened?

What lands and waters must remain healthy?

The Seventh Generation principle reminds us that leadership is not measured only by what we accomplish in our lifetime, but by what we leave behind.

What is one thing you believe Canada should be doing today for the benefit of future generations?
