In March 2017, I walked into my first chemo scared and being single at the time, I did it alone. Once I was hooked up and prepped for the several hour process a kind voice asked if I wanted a warm blanket. It was the wife of this man who was in the chair next to me getting his treatment. We regularly ran into each other and to this day we are still friends. This picture was taken at Light the Night 2024.
Crystal and JP made me feel less alone throughout my Leukemia journey. While Light the Night on October 18th in Halifax is about fundraising for the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada, Atlantic Region its also about the people. Supporting the blood cancer community is a vision you will never forget so I encourage you to head to the Halifax Waterfront and the Queen's Marque that evening to see the sea of support as we Light the Night.
