It's ❤️ After Java left us in June 2022, I really wasn't sure if I wanted another dog, let alone a puppy. Sam is my love and despite being a is remarkably calm for his age. This photo was from a couple of weeks ago. He has one of his favourite toys which he inherited from our first GSP, Bo. Sam will get extra cookies today, but don't tell David.

Happy . I know it's so easy to shop on Amazon for much of what we use as quilters. However, think about it, quilt shops will keep going out of business if we keep supporting Amazon and other online retailers.

Rant over now. If you live in the GTA or you like buying your supplies online from quilt and fabric shops, please consider two of my not so local to me quilt shops, and . Both of these shops carry incredible products and offer great classes as well. Please think about where you spend your quilting dollars and keep supporting your local quilt shops. I thought I would share a few of my favourite things: ❄, and 🐧. You are probably thinking that I'm one of those Winter is my Favourite Season peeps. That isn't true, but I don't mind it either. Given that I was born, raised and continue to live outside Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Winter is part of our reality. Unfortunately, global warming is definitely affecting our Winters and we haven't had more than a centimeter or two of snow yet. At any rate, I hope you have a great day.

Do you choose a Word of the Year for yourself? I started doing this around 2019 and my first WOTY was Courage.

For 2024, I chose Determined. This word is usually part of my personality, but it means a lot more this year.

This year, I am DETERMINED to bring New Quilter Society to fruition. New Quilter Society is my learn to quilt membership. In it I will take beginner quilters all the way from how to purchase a sewing machine, if you don't already have one, to your first finished quilt. Make sure follow me if you want to learn more about New Quilter Society.

It's New Year's Eve Day. How exciting!

I will not be at a party tonight, but rather on the couch with David and Sam instead.

Have you started thinking about your goals for 2024? You may have noticed that I said goals and not resolutions? In my opinion, goals are stronger commitments. I'm not saying that I achieve all of my goals all of the time.

My big goal for 2024 is making New Quilter Society a reality so we can learn to quilt together. Make sure you click on the link in my bio to learn more. Have a happy and safe night everyone.
