A little update from behind the scenes 🤍

You may have noticed that Timeless Joy has been pretty quiet on social media lately, and I wanted to pop on and explain why.

The last 8 weeks have been a LOT. We’ve had 3+ weeks of sick kids (Grayson was literally sent home from daycare with ANOTHER fever today), 3 weeks of Ian working nights, and a medical procedure for myself thrown into the mix.

And somewhere in between parenting, working my regular job, recovering and generally just trying to survive 😅, I’ve been editing.

I am behind on galleries. More behind than I am comfortable with, and I know there are people patiently waiting to get their photos back.

So if you’ve noticed I haven’t been posting much, sharing recent sessions, advertising availability or trying to fill my calendar — that is intentional.

The time I have available for Timeless Joy right now belongs to the clients who have already trusted me with their memories.

I’m also pressing pause on accepting new bookings for the time being. I don’t feel right continuing to add sessions to my editing queue until I’ve taken care of the people already in it.

If you are currently waiting on a gallery from me: I haven’t forgotten about you. Your photos are safe. I am working on them. 🤍

I’m incredibly grateful for the patience and grace my clients have given me through a season that has been a little relentless.

I’ll be back to sharing, creating and taking on new bookings once I’ve gotten myself back on track.

For now, I’m putting my head down and editing. 🤍

The other day I joked that everyone was sleeping on my Summer Minis... only to realize **my website wasn’t actually letting anyone book them.** 🤦🏼‍♀️

I think one of the hardest parts about going public with my photography journey is trying to grow while everyone watches in real time. 🙃

Some days I feel SO confident in what I create. I look at a gallery and think “okay wait… this actually feels like art.” Then literally the next hour I’m reminded that growth as an artist isn’t linear as I sit staring at a photo that falls extremely flat.

I struggle a lot with finding the balance between:
• documentary vs posed
• moody vs bright
• artistic vs safe
• capturing emotion vs controlling every detail

But I think I’m finally realizing something important:

The photos I love most are NEVER the perfectly posed ones.

They’re the messy movement.
The weird little in-between moments.
The wind-blown hair.
The deep shadows.
The images that feel like a captured memory instead of a performance.

I still have SO much to learn when it comes to editing, consistency, posing, all of it honestly — but I also know I have an eye for emotion and storytelling, and I’m learning to lean into that now.

Anyways…. Just a little vulnerable artist ramble tonight. 🫶🏻 Thanks for being here while I grow into the artist I’m becoming.

And a note to those of you who have been here from the beginning: you have no idea how much your support means to me. I’ve dreamed of capturing memories since I was a toddler (just ask my mom ), so deciding to finally pursue this more seriously has genuinely been life changing for me.
