Sometimes the best projects aren’t just about creativity, they’re about kindness.
We were recently hired to create these to help inform the public. And the best part? My client’s only instruction for distribution was: “Make it a free download anywhere you can. I just want people to have it.”
It’s a rare and wonderful thing to work with someone whose motivation is simply to give. It reminds us why we love what we do — using communications not just to inform, but to serve.
Grateful for clients who see generosity as part of their brand. Those are the projects that leave a mark far beyond the metrics. 🌿

Strangers in costume swapping life stories, debating snacks, and turning boredom into improv — all while waiting for “back to set.” Honestly, half the entertainment never makes it on camera.

✨ Fifty years of stories, stars, and electricity in the air! Yesterday, Toronto became the beating heart of cinema once again as TIFF marked its 50th anniversary — and the energy was unforgettable. You could see it on the faces of the crowd, in the joy of the fans, and in the sparkle of the stars who stepped into that space where art and audience meet.

Film festivals like TIFF don’t just celebrate movies — they sustain the entire ecosystem of film. They give independent filmmakers and producers a stage, they remind cities why culture matters, and they keep the love of cinema alive in a world that needs it more than ever.

We’re proud to witness, to document, and to be a part of this incredible chapter in Toronto’s creative history. Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it. 🎬❤️

A true story about what happens when you give new artists a break: A long overdue thank you to Moby (and Lily Allen) 🎶

Many years ago — before my business partner Maria and I had a company, before we had any real footing — we were producing our very first commercial project: a dinner theatre event. We were up-and-coming, very broke, and definitely couldn’t afford the music rights we dreamed of using.

Moby gave us the rights to his music for the entire soundtrack. No restrictions, no creative conditions — just a simple “Yes, go ahead, best of luck.” Lily Allen also generously allowed the use of one of her hit songs — already a success, so she certainly didn’t need the exposure from two “nobodies” — and did it purely out of kindness.

That dinner theatre show was the first commercial project Maria and I worked on together. We broke even but had a blast. So we did it again. Many years later, our creative relationship would evolve into what became Black Ram Media Group, which is now approaching its 10-year anniversary.

I don’t think we’ve ever publicly shared that part of our origin story, but today felt like the right time.

Thank you, Moby and Lily, for being part of our very beginning. Your generosity helped set the stage — literally — for everything that’s followed. 🙏

Re the pics: The person painting on stage is me. We had music, digital projections, dancers and a wine tasting dinner at a fine dine restaurant. These photos were taken by Maria (Gagliardi-Aragon.) Great memories. We were just kids. How did we get from wine tasting dinner theatre to political/corporate communications? That was a long & winding road! More to come.

In the mid-1950s, a young man named Luciano Pavarotti dreamed not of arias and applause, but of football fields and penalty saves. At the time, he was a promising goalkeeper, ready to chase a career in sports.

But fate had other plans.

His mother persuaded him to follow a deeper calling — teaching. For two years, he worked in a school. Yet music, quietly smoldering in his heart, eventually demanded his full devotion.

With great reluctance but unconditional love, Luciano’s father, Fernando Pavarotti, agreed to support his son until he turned 30 — with one condition: if the dream failed, Luciano would find a "real job."

But destiny didn’t wait that long. In 1961, at the age of 26, Pavarotti won the International Vocal Competition.

The world gained an opera legend.
And Fernando Pavarotti? He finally breathed a sigh of relief.
